    Inproper path client errors

Yesterday got a popup on screen that said your executable path does not exist for world of warcraft. The paths have not changed and have been working for years. Tried reinstalling and get the same error. Guides are working in game, but the client is not working and updating. Tried turning anti virus off, but didn't change.

Open up your battle.net launcher and click on Options (just below the word Games) and then select Game Settings. Now on the new window that opens up click on Game Install/Update on the left and let me know what it shows for the WoW folder setting (not the default install directory setting, I need the folder used for game play).

Ok, open the Zygor updater client and click the gear icon in the bottom right. Now click on Installation on the left side and you'll see WoW listed. To the right side of the WoW entry you will see a pencil icon. Click on the pencil icon and you should now see 3 folder settings for WoW with magnifying glass icons beside them. Use the magnifying glass icons to make the settings the following.

            Installation Directory:
            C:\World of Warcraft\World of Warcraft\_retail_

            Executable:
            C:\World of Warcraft\World of Warcraft\World of Warcraft Launcher.exe

            AddOns Directory:
            C:\World of Warcraft\World of Warcraft\_retail_\Interface\Addons

Once that's done click on the green check mark to save those changes and you can then use the back arrow at the bottom right to go back to the main window. If it does not try to do an installation/update automatically click on the check for updates link at the top. That should get it all fixed and working.

That did fix the problem, but when I start the computer I am getting a popup saying This version of the Zygor client is no longer supported. Please download the updated client from the Member's section of the website. I have done this and still get the message when rebooting. I was getting this message after the original problem started also.

That means you still have the old Java client installed and it's trying to run when you start the computer. Download this uninstaller and run it to get rid of that old Java client. http://zygorguides.com/javaclient/dist/Uninstaller.exe

                    No.

Did you have the desktop client installed to the C:\ folder?

Delete those manually and see if that stops it from giving you that error when you start the computer.

Ok,that appears to have fixed that error, but now I am getting this Java Virtual Machine Launcher error popup box.

Error: Unable to access jarfile C:\Zygor.jar

There is still a startup entry in the registry for the old Java client. Try grabbing CCleaner to run that and clean out the registry. That should remove the entries for things that are not accessible which should get rid of the Java client entries and also help the computer run a little smoother overall.
