Find nearest vendor without recommending to use hearthstone?

The find nearest vendor or repair option in the add-on is nice. But it seems that it just defaults to my hearthstone (and/or Moonglade teleport as a Druid) when I want to find any vendor, or select Repair.
I'd rather just know where the nearest vendor is in my zone so I can go vendor and return right back to where I was questing.
Is there a way to adjust this in settings or something?

No, it works on trying to find the fastest route to the vendor and if your hearthstone is up then that will almost always be the fastest route.

Is it making a different assumption if I choose just food vendor? If I select Food vendor it will point me to the nearest food vendor, so that's a work-around I guess if I don't believe using my hearthstone is the more efficient option, given it will take a long time to get back to questing location.

The database for the find nearest does not contain every single vendor in the game so that might be part of it.

So it detects the nearest vendor if I specifically select "Food", but you're saying that for nearest "Any" vendor to detect the same exact food vendor, you would need to have a database of every single vendor in the game?

No, when you select Any vendor it tries to get you to a vendor via the fastest route. When you select a food vendor then it is only trying the fastest route to a food vendor. Using Any means that any vendor right by where you land for the hearthstone would be a faster route than going to the nearest food vendor unless that food vendor is standing right by your hearthstone spot. The find nearest uses a database that has a list of the different NPCs that are needed for find nearest but it does not include every vendor in the game.
