Guide skipping parts, e.g.: Wetlands (24-27) - Step 34

I'm just 1 level ahead of the guide (26 instead of 25), so I don't think this should be the cause (quest is level 21 and is green)

It's not the first time it happens. Other time it was for this quest:

It skipped it and I saw it did so came back. Also how can I disable such behavior to skip grey steps? And most importantly why does it do it, is it because I'm ahead of guide?

Sounds like maybe the SiS is on and is trying to skip steps that aren't needed since you're ahead of the guide. You should be able to turn that off with the quest clean up icon on the guide viewer.

Is there a way to disable this "skip" functionality, or SiS altogether? Since this is automatic and in the worse case I'd prefer this to be manual. Sometimes, this would cause to miss some quest chains, like with the Wetlands crocodiles quests. After all, I'm only a level ahead (especially, during early levels).

If it's going you should be able to turn it off with the quest cleanup icon.

Please excuse my lack of understanding. You are saying that I should click SiS and then select quest cleanup? To clarify I'm not looking to delete any quests since I was following the guide exactly from the beginning. All I am looking for is for the guide to stop skipping quests/steps for some reason (you are saying due to SiS).

My concern is that if I will click quest cleanup it will instead delete quests for no reason (was reported before), when all I am looking for is rather not to skip anything now/in the future.

When you click the quest cleanup icon on the guide viewer it will have a small menu of actions. One action is for abandoning quests you don't need and it gives a confirmation showing all quests it would abandon. You can ignore that one. The other options are for the SiS.

Those are options to turn on the SiS so that means it's not running. The next time you see it skip a quest please take the guide viewer to the step that was to accept it and then create a bug report to copy/paste here. You can create a bug report with the button in the guide viewer settings, first section.

Noticed guide skipped step so I went back

I do not know why it is marking that step as one that you can't do and skipping it. Try doing a full guide reset.

1. exit WoW
2. go to the WoW/_classic_/Interface/Addons folder and delete the ZygorGuidesViewerClassic folder
3. go to the WoW/_classic_/WTF/Account/<your account name here>/SavedVariables folder and delete the Zygor files in there
4. run the desktop client and install a fresh copy of the guides
5. go back in game to test

Also, it is perfectly fine if the guide skips a quest or two here and there. You will still be able to keep leveling without issue.
