Gear Guide equiping gear

I have the auto equip gear unchecked. I want tit to suggest to me but not put it on. Sometimes after combat it will auto equip on me the gear I don't wish to have on. Is there a way I can tell it to stop auto equipping my gear? I use Ask Mr Robot and Zygor to pick my best gear. I have a lot of corrupted pieces in my bags and I want one piece or another. The gear advisor will swap it on me. Please help and thank you.

Are you positive it's our addon that's equipping the gear? If you have that disabled in the settings it should only show a pop up notification.

Yes I am, the gear it is equipping is different then ask mr robot gear. Is there a black list for the gear equip section like there is with selling gear to vendors? so it can be skipped and not equipped. then reset later if I wish?

PS. it is almost as if it is showing the gear suggestion again, but instead of me being able to say decline, it just put's it on.

The blacklist is semi-hidden. You can only add things to it with the Decline button on the suggestion pop-up. Try doing a full guide reset.

1. exit WoW
2. go to the WoW/_retail_/Interface/Addons folder and delete the ZygorGuidesViewer folder
3. go to the WoW/_retail_/WTF/Account/<your account name here>/SavedVariables folder and delete the Zygor files in there
4. run the desktop client and install a fresh copy of the guides
5. go back in game to test and let me know if that fixed it

I did as you instructed. and I thought it was working, but then nope it swapped out my gear.

If you disable all other addons can you get it to do the same thing?

I think I may have found the issue. I forgot that I have Dugi Guides installed because I don't use it anymore. I think that was conflicting with Zygor, all is well now.
