Question about crafting

Hi,
Quick question about crafting.

my profession is Alchemy and I have rank 3 which has a chance to create multiple crafts from the single craft.

Does the gold guide take that into its calculations when figuring out if a craft is profitable or not?

No, it only compares the current going price for the item and the costs for materials from the AH or a vendor.

Is this a feature you could potentially add in the future? Obviously now its the end of expansion and prices are very weird, however when relevant sometimes it is more profitable to craft the item rather than selling the materials, or even make profit from buying materials and selling the crafts.

We probably would not account for a possible extra craft. Going by guaranteed results gives a more stable base for showing potential profits. If we try to add extra for a potential extra craft then we'll have everyone yelling at us because they saw a higher profit potential and didn't get anywhere close to it because they never got lucky for the extra output. Always better to be more conservative with the numbers and then have someone be extra happy because they made a 2nd item for pure profit.
