Zygor wont work, No guides to load?

I have tried deleting my zygors guide and then using the app to reinstall a fresh copy and its the same, no guides at all ?

I even tried disabling every add on except for zygors, and then it wouldnt even load zygors, in the chat window is says Error initializing, check the lua errors and report them, please.


Where are the lua errors ?

Try doing a full guide reset.

1. exit WoW
2. go to the WoW/_retail_/Interface/Addons folder and delete the ZygorGuidesViewer folder
3. go to the WoW/_retail_/WTF/Account/<your account name here>/SavedVariables folder and delete the Zygor files in there
4. run the desktop client and install a fresh copy of the guides
5. go back in game to test and let me know if that fixed it

okay, so i got it to show zygors, all the icon does it a loading like thing around the icon while in game

also no guides will show up, only the last guide i had up jewelcrafting.

well as soon as i turned on my other addons, it did it again. I Hope there is a fix or whatever add on keeps doing it, world quest tracker just got an update 51 minutes ago hopefully it doesnt keep breaking it ( if thats what it is doing it, i noticed it auto turns on that add on when i turn on zygors). I HOPE I PRAY that i don't have to do your instructions above with all my accounts, 16 accounts over 250+ toons, that would be a nightmare!!

okay it worked the first time but not the second time.

I made sure to make sure all addons where disabled, did the steps you provided above logged in with no addons, turned on, then enabled zygors only and it did it again, no guides and the loading energy bar circling around the zygors icon.

I just moved the WTF folder, did all the steps above. Logged into toon. then logged out. moved folder back, but copied the toon itself, then recopied it back to that folder afterwards and it worked. sounds all complicated but i got it working.

Sounds like maybe a corrupted file in the WTF folder. Try exiting the game, go to your WoW/retail folder, and rename the WTF folder to WTF.old. Then when you go in game it will act like a fresh install for the game and all addons. See if that helps at all.

If you do not see the guide viewer window you can type "/zygor show" without the quotes into the game chat. Then you should be able to get the guide selection window open (gear icon then click the word Home at the top left) to get a guide loaded up to use.

Heya there! I did this and it did not work. I checked my addons, and it is indeed installed. I tried typing "zygor show" like someone mentioned and I just got the "Type /help for a listing..."

That means you do not have the guides enabled in your addon list at the character selection screen.

I followed all the steps.
The guide is not showing up for any of my characters.
I don't know if it matters but I am an EU player.

UPDATE : I changed my Zygor version from EU to US in the "Options-Downloads" and now it's working. So definitely an issue with EU version.

Should be fixed now. Try doing a guide reinstall.

1. exit WoW
2. go to the WoW/_retail_/Interface/Addons folder and delete any Zygor folders
3. run the desktop client and install a fresh copy of the guides
4. go back in game to test and see if that fixed it

So, what apparently fixed it for me ... I opened the map and opened the world quest planner, from there opened the guide options and I discovered that the Viewer was by default disabled.
I ticked "Enable Viewer" and now looks like it is working, logged in and out and the viewer is there.

The minimap button is not showing despite having it checked in the options.
