Retribution Pally and Gear Advisor

I can't make sense of the suggested items at all. I've double checked that I'm in the Ret setting on Gear Advisor and it still keeps telling me to put on cloth and leather and to prioritize intell and stam, when Icy Veins advice for levelling is prioritise strength for damage and spirit for recovery plus agi once you have Vengeance. Am currently 35 on this toon. I've switched onto the Holy and Prot specs to see if they were doubling up, on item weightings, but no, they're not.

I can't whack things with a big hammer while wearing a flimsy dress. Are you trying to kill me or what???

What are the stat weights you are using for the Ret spec in the Item Score section of the settings? Have you tried using the reset button on that page at the bottom to see if that affects anything? If you still get an odd suggestion please hold Shift and click on the Decline button to generate a gear system bug report that you can then copy/paste here for us to see more of what is going on in the background.

I cant speak for the Op other than to say its a very common issue we run into trying to understand, troubleshoot and manage stat weights to use the feature as it was intended ..to help you the player automate and make it easy to use Zygor gear advisor and make it work properly.

My suggestion is to allow us to import Pawn string or stat weights from a 3rd party addon perhaps to allow us to properly manage our gear rather than to be left wearing a dress in Prot spec..something is goofy with that

We have had the ability for you to import Pawn strings for a very long time, however we do not have every stat that Pawn does so there might be some stats that don't get imported. For example the default Pawn strings make use of the min and max damage stats instead of dps but we do not have any corresponding stat weight so those don't get imported and that will still cause there to be slight variations in the scores given to weapons when you compare the scores to Pawn. That said you can import the Pawn strings in the Item Score section of the guide viewer settings. You can also manually edit any of the stat weights we do score in the Item Score settings.
