Zygor wants to replace heirlooms

Hello

I dont know if the last update caused it or because I hit a certain level, since today Zygor wants to replace heirlooms with gear I loot/get from quests.
I know the heirlooms are not that powerfull anymore but I want to keep them on for the rest XP bonus.
Is there a way (beside turing auto equip off) to make zygor stop replacing heirlooms until max level reached?

That was a change with the last updated because it was trying to keep heirlooms based on an xp boost that no longer exists. Right now the only way to keep your heirlooms easily would be to turn off the auto-equip option which will then give you a pop-up box for the suggested new item. If you click decline on that pop-up then you will not get any more suggestions for that item you declined.

I'd like to know if Zygor is right though, as there is no longer an XP boost, what is the point wearing a piece of heirloom if the new piece of loot is statistically better than it? It's frustrating seeing the Upgrade % in Green but not switching it out...

Edit: What I've started doing is if I have no rested Exp I will do the suggestion and replace the Heirloom with the new piece of gear but keep the heirloom in my bags as usually in a level or two they're generally better than the eariler equiped piece of gear as the heirloom scales and the quest/loot gear doesn't.

There is still the set bonuses which give the extra rested xp so that is why some people might want to keep the heirloom gear.
