ComeHere is just fun. Every time I use Deathgrip, "Get Over Hear" is heard. I.E. Mortal Combat.

The addons you mention:

For max level characters:

Quest helper is an aid, when a new set of quests comes out - the tournament quests for example. It can soon be done without, I find, as I start to remember where to go.

I also find it good to help out with "old world" quests that I may have missed.

Omen and recount are constants, as I like to see how I am doing and control my threat.


For levelling characters:

Quest helper is good, if you don't have the Zygor Levelling Companion.


Other addons:
(some of which I use on particular characters and on no others and some of which I use on all characters):

Auctionator - Handles auction house
auctionsnatch - For the items that almost never come to auction
AutoAspect - Reminds me when to change aspects.
AutoProfitX - Sells all of my junk items at once
AutoRepair - Automatically repairs my equipment, at a capable vendor
BadBoy - Rids me of spam (pt1)
Bagnon - All-in-one bag / bank
Cartographer - Not used, other than with Zygor Levelling Companion
Cellular - An in-game "instant messenger"
CorkIt - Removes useless NPC chat (ex Topper McNabb in Stormwind)
Deadly Boss Mods - Essential, warning of of what bosses do, when
DoubleWideTradeSkills - Makes the tradeskill area less cramped
Enchantrix - Helps with auction house pricing
FishermansFriend - Speeds up fishing
FriendsWithBenefits - Syncs up your friends lists, across all characters
GuildBankSearch - Does what it says, making it easier to find items
GuildCraft - Stores information on who can make what - in AND OUT of guild
IgnoreMore - Ignore more people and syncs those, across all characters
InFlight - A confirmation tool (prevent accidental flights) and timer
LeaveMeAlone - Allows you to auto reject certain actions (trades, duels, etc)
MozzFullWorldMap - Shows unexplored areas on the map
OmniCC - Shows timers for most things on the screen
OpenAll - A mail aid, cutting time at the mail box
Overachiever - Amazing tool for managing and obtaining more achievements
PetCheck - Automatically pops out a designated mini-pet
RightAlignCombat - Right-orients text on the right-hand side of your screen
RogueFocus - Puts moveable focus bars in the middle of the screen
SilverDragon - Spots and allows the targeting of rare mobs
tekMapEnhancer - Best Cartographer features, in non-optional cut-down form
TomTom - Puts points on the map
TradeSecetaryPrivyCork - Hides useless chat in the trade channel
TrainWhistle - Shows who used a train
UITweaks - Small tweaks to the UI, that I have further tweaked
yGravier - Item level and stack information

Most addons I get from curse. I use the curse updater to update those.

The others I get from wowinterface. I hide the curse addons in their addons minion and use it to update only wowinterface addons.

Also, I have three addons folders: One for general use, one for raiding and one for battlegrounds. I just exit the game and trade one folder for another (stored in different places), as and when they are needed.

In combination with what I mentioned about not using all addons with all characters, that keeps usage low and game-play smooth - useful to those with "less than ideal" PCs.

I often change the lay-out of my interface, but these add-ons are always included. My UIs are quite minimalistic as I don't like to have my screen cluttered with information.

I love the guide, but I also use Carbonite. The advantage I have is that while the guide may direct me to a point to hunt for mobs, Carbonite shows on the map where they are grouped at. Sometimes the best place is not where the guide indicates.

I use Carbonite as well, absolutely love it. Just wish we werent roped into having cartographer also installed and in use. Several people have asked multiple times for carbonite implementation now that its free, maybe now that 2.0 is out they will take a look into it. I really hope they do.

quest helper sucks

lol why the heck woud you use quest helper. you all should check out carbonite. i mean can quest helper give you pathways to nods while you are our mining or gathering nodes. does it give you a gerneral area of were to do the quest. no it gives you a dot.
