Error using zygor's Guides Updater

    Error using zygor's Guides Updater

    When I try to update to the newest version I get the following error message:

    I can use the guide and it works fine ingame, but the Updater keeps saying that they are updates that I need to install, even though the version numbers are the same. It looks like something to do with creating a desktop shortcut, but not sure. Please let me know if this is something I need to correct or, since the guide is working fine in game, just something I can ignore for now.

    Oh and by the way, everyone who worked on this great guide rocks!!

    Run the updater again, but then after you hit update hit repair. See if this takes care of the problem.

      Maybe you have Windows Vista or 7?
      Installing WoW under program files is a bad idea on this systems as the addon dir usually is not inside the WoW folder because every folder under program files is protected by the user account control.

        I ran the repair, but when I try to update I still get the same error message. I've even uninstalled the installer and reinstalled it, but same error. I'm running Windows XP with everything up todate. Again the guide does install and I'm able to use it in game with all the features, but I keep seeing that I have new guide packages available to update even though the version numbers are the same (Current version/Lastest version).

          I agree with Cartman; The guides should be in c: drive. Since Im not the windows savy one in here, Ill let someone else take this.
