Warrior Gear suggestions defaulting to 1hander and shield instead of 2 hander

Im levelling a warrior and am using the 0-39 Fury talent spec with the Fury stat weights.

I want to use a 2 handed weapon

Whenever I have a shield in my inventory it will try to equip it (with auto equip enabled) or advise that I equip it

It will even equip a shield with no weapon???

I have tried setting my weights to Arms in the hope that it will select a 2 hander.

The 2 hander in question is a clear upgrade I bought from the AH.

Am I using the wrong settings or is there a way to define my playstyle I.E Preference fore Sword and board, Dual weild or 2 hander.

I just want to say I am leveling a retribution paladin. I am using the retribution leveling spec and the retribution gear advice and it wants to equip shield and one handers as well. I really prefer two handers. I am not actually sure if the shields and one handers I got so far have better "score" but I doubt its more effective. I am currently level 14.

The bug that had to be fixed was that it would recommend a shield with no weapon over the 2h weapon. When it comes to 2h vs. 1h & shield that is purely personal preference and the gear system just suggests the choice that has the best stats for your spec. So if it suggests a 1h & shield that means those 2 have better stats (combined) compared to the 2h weapon. It's up to you to decide if you want to follow the suggestion or not.

This is actually false information at least when it comes to min/maxing while trying to level as a warrior. Its actually alarming how false that information is regarding "preference".

We stand by it being a personal preference in regards to 2h vs. 1h & shield. You linked to a guide about min/maxing (not what our guides are about) which is comparing dual wielding vs. 2h weapons. That is completely different from what you quoted.

Yeah a min maxing guide about leveling. Also if the guides here arent about min maxing, whats the point in paying you/zygor a sub? I would bet the vast majority of the customer base buys your guide because they are trying to get to 60 as fast as possible.
