[Bug] Boosted character into used wrong guide steps

Hi,

I recently created a level 1 shaman, boosted it to Enhancement. When I logged in for the first time and did the intro quests, it immediately jumped like 50 steps. What I noticed is it appears to have loaded the "Elemental" spec instead of the "Enhancement" spec for my shaman.

This is on 7.0.18582

Which artifact did you select to go after and what spec are you in?

I didn't select any artifact. This was on first login a scenario happens to train your character. I boosted with "Enhancement" selected on the WoW character screen

Ok, did you double check to make sure that it was showing Enhancement as the selected spec? And guides skipping steps is normal as not every step in a guide can be completed. They were probably profession related steps which you would not have unless you leveled to 60 normally before boosting.

It was a level 1 boosted.

Yes I know for sure I did enhancement. I logged onto a different shaman on a different server to check first what Zygor leveling recommended for the class.

It wasn't profession steps, it was steps telling me to cast an ability that the other spec had like Flame Shock.

boosted to 110

Try loading that Intro guide manually at step 1 and see what it does when loaded manually. With it being a level 1 toon that was boosted I'm not sure if it would do the airship tutorial stuff. If it skips that because you're not on the airship then it should only jump to step 20.

So the character was created via the boost token options. It was never logged into as a level 1, and I started immediately with the airship tutorial.

I'll try hopping on the char later to see if it skips to 20
