Death Knight Starter Guide

Wrath of the Lich King introduces the Death Knight, a new playable "hero class" that starts at level 55 and has its own starting zone. You can expect a complete guide for this starter area that synchronizes perfectly with the main Northrend Leveling guides.

Revised 1-70 Experience

Although much of the 1-70 leveling experience is the same in WotLK, the expansion does make some tweaks to the quests and leveling experience. For this reason we’ve reworked our 1-70 guides to address all the changes made in WotLK for a more refined playthrough.

70-80 Northrend Leveling

In Northrend you'll find 10 new zones to explore and level your characters from 70 to the next cap of 80. This expansion has two choices for where to start: either Howling Fjord to the east, or Borean Tundra to the west, and our guides will cover both as well as everything else you need to reach the end zone of Icecrown where the Lich King is waiting.

Talent and Glyphs Advisor

The Talent Advisor system has been updated with new builds for WotLK to tell you where to spend your points to make your characters as powerful as they can be. This includes pet talents too!

Additionally, WotLK introduces the ability to inscribe Glyphs that further enhance your character and our Advisor systems now cover this as well to let you know the best Glyphs to use.

Class Training Reminder

Making sure you stay on top of your spell training is vital to effective leveling in the classic versions of the game.

Since it can be easy to forget this we have an optional Class Training Reminder feature that can pop up and alert you whenever you have new spells available, and sort them by Critical, Optional, and Upcoming.

Smart Injection System

In the classic versions of the game it can be harder to just jump in if you haven't done the necessary pre-quests because quest chains are rigidly tied together.

Our Smart Injection System's Quest Catchup feature finds the best place for your character to start in the guide and then checks if you’ve done the necessary pre-quests. If you’re missing anything, it will dynamically backtrack you through any pre-quests first so that you can get in perfect sync with the recommended starting point.
