Hey Zygor Community!
Here’s a rundown on the updates we’ve made this week and a look at what’s coming soon to Zygor Guides.
Recent Updates:
The War Within
(Leveling)
- The full zone guides and campaign have been fully polished for quality assurance. The intro step has been updated with the prerequisites for completing the entire guide and all four zone guides now grant you the Sojourner achievement for those zones.
Here’s our recommended optimal path:
Isle of Dorn -> Ringing Deeps -> Hallowfall -> Azj-Kahet -> Isle of Dorn
Complete the story only guides until you reach level 78 (If not quite 78 yet, grind or do dungeons to gain the last bit). At that point, load The War Within Campaign guide and complete the quest “Surface Bound” at the start. This unlocks adventure mode and unlocks a quest chapter in Hallowfall. Then continue where you left off until level 80.
Isle of Dorn needs to be done twice. First playthrough there will be level 80 only quests that get skipped. A second load at 80 will ensure that you have everything done otherwise. There is also an entire chapter that requires completion of the Hallowfall primary zone (which you should have done already if did the story only guides).
(Dailies)
- A work in progress beta guide has been added for the “Spreading the Light Keyflame Weekly Quests”. This guide should help with Hallowfall renown. Due to the random nature and unlock requirements of this hub it is challenging to write these guides. So far, we’ve added the quests from last week and this week and have “blind coded” the rest using external sources. We will keep updating with improvements as we encounter the random quests in game.
(Reputations)
- Beta versions of the Renown guides have been added and are being worked on. So far, they should all cover somewhere between 11-13.
Upcoming Updates:
All
- The Hallows End event guides will be check for any updates needed for 2024.
- We’re in the process of expanding the auto-gossip and contextual raid markers feature to all our other guides.
Cata Classic
(Dailies)
- We’re preparing the update for Patch 4.2 which will add in the Firelands Dailies hub to the game. We’re also investigating reports of issues with pre-quests guide that unlocks these dailies. We hope to send out an update soon to address any issues so you can get head start on completing the pre-quests needed to unlock the Firelands Dailies.
The War Within
- The team is doing pre-preparation for the upcoming 11.0.5 patch which will add new story quests and kickoff the in-game 20th Anniversary celebration activities. We’re looking into what guides can be made for these events. We’re aware that there are still guides to be added for The War Within in general, across gold, farming, reputations, and achievements. The team is working diligently to complete any missing content.

i love what you all are doing and keep up the good work. i being a solo player now your guides has help me so much. even when i get lost or forget where i was they help me get back in place. thanks again for a great addon and guides
I know the “beta” guides are out for 20th anniversary – but we are missing ALL of the achivement guides. I seem to only be able to find them by searching for a specific quest. Why isnt this stored in the “Events” section? I’d like to know everything – all achievements and how to accomplish them – where are world bosses, etc – I was pretty surprised nothing is there other than a generic walkthrough of picking up the quests in the main area.
there seems to be something wrong with the skill tree builds are there plans to get these updated?
Yes, we’re working on that update now. It is almost done and should be rolled out soon.
Are we getting a guide for the 20th anniversary?
The Beta version of the guides are now available. You should see a notification about them in the Notifications Center, or you can search for “20th Anniversary Event” in the Guide Menu.
Professions guides need some work…. I’m working on JC and I bought all material suggested, it barely got me to 23
Hello there good people of Zygor. Thanks for all your work. Just wondering when the 20th Anniversary guides will come. It says it’s up to date but I don’t see it in the guides itself. (as of Oct. 24, 2024) Just wanted to know. Thanks again!

Instead of waiting till everything is done and uploading things in big batches that take months, have you thought about releasing achievements as their finished? Maybe weekly uploads to let us know stuff is happening. Been waiting for achievement guides since release and now have all of them almost finished by myself. I know you guys do a lot of work over time, but it all seems really behind and it’s starting to make me wonder why I keep this as a monthly payment instead of just paying for it 1 month every 6 months or so.
We have done them in batches before, but perhaps some of the recent ones were not. We’ll take that suggestion into consideration and try to roll them out more consistently. Thanks for the feedback!

when is the delves support coming??
We have guides for the treasure chests found in the delves. What are you wanting to see as far as full on Delve guides? They seem kind of straightforward to us so we weren’t sure how well they were suited for guides. If you could share your thoughts on what you’d like to see or what you need help with that would be helpful to our teams. Thanks 🙂
