App won't remember directories after computer restart

When I first install the app it automatically finds the directories that my WoW games are saved in (H:\Program Files (x86)\World of Warcraft) and the app works fine until I close down my computer.

When I restart my computer and open up the guide again it forgets the directories and I have to manually change it from the default C: back to H:. Also on restart the gold trend doesn't show any realms, and there is nothing in the drop-down. The only way to get it working again is to uninstall the app completely and reinstall it again. But then I have to do it all over again when my computer restarts.

What am I doing wrong that I have to reinstall the app whenever I restart my computer?

Ok, open the Zygor updater client and click the gear icon in the bottom right. Now click on Installation on the left side and you'll see WoW listed. To the right side of the WoW entry you will see a pencil icon. Click on the pencil icon and you should now see 3 folder settings for WoW with magnifying glass icons beside them. Use the magnifying glass icons to make the settings the following.

Installation Directory:
H:\Program Files (x86)\World of Warcraft\_retail_

Executable:
H:\Program Files (x86)\World of Warcraft\_retail_\wow.exe

AddOns Directory:
H:\Program Files (x86)\World of Warcraft\_retail_\Interface\Addons

Once that's done click on the green check mark to save those changes and you can then use the back arrow at the bottom right to go back to the main window. If it does not try to do an installation/update automatically click on the check for updates link at the top. That should get it all fixed and working.

I did all that, saved the settings. Everything was working fine, the directories, guides and gold data trends. My problem comes when I either shut down my computer or exit the app running the background. When I restart either my computer or the app, it doesn't remember the settings AT ALL. I have to enter the directories in AGAIN and the gold data trend doesn't work at all on restart (it doesn't remember my realms and the dropdown menu is blank.

I went for weeks thinking there were no updates to the guides, only to find that the directories were defaulting to the C: drive even though I had previously changed and saved the locations on the H: drive.

The ONLY way to get the gold trend data to work properly is to uninstall and then reinstall. Doing that the app actually remembers the directory locations that I originally saved but then I have to do it all over again when I restart my computer or the app.

I guess the only thing to do is to live without the gold trend data and only run the app when the website shows an update. That way I don't have to keep re-installing or changing the directories.

Try uninstalling the client and then search the registry for any Zygor entries and delete them. Then install a fresh copy of the client and make sure you have it whitelisted in your antivirus software to make sure that's not preventing the client from saving the settings.
