Why does Zygor use so much memory compared to all of my other addons, it is like 220 MB, anyways to lower this?

That's just a result of having over 6k guides. There is currently no way to lower it.Become a Fan of Zygor Guides on Facebook:

I think it really comes down to how the addons work with WoW. The WoW client provides an API to watch and trigger events using LUA scripts (and some various resource file types) which make up the addon. When you log into your character all of these LUA and resource files are loaded up into RAM (eager loading) right away. To my knowledge WoW doesn't provide a way to lazy load resources (load them only once the program [Zygor in this case] reaches a point in the LUA script that it needs the resource).
