Something Broken within Gear Advisor

When running dungeons or raids, if a piece of gear is an upgrade and I loot it, previously the gear advisor would popup right then and ask if i wanted to equip. Ever since the latest updates, this is not working correctly. Sometimes it is a long delay to popup, or never pops up at all until I force it by equipping something. Can we get this looked at/fixed?

While i appreciate the work the Zygor dev team has done/is doing, I have to say, I have been a little disappointed with the Zygor guide since DF launch. The updates and development seem a little subpar than what is used to be. Zygor used to be ahead of the curve and proactive, but more and more lately, i feel like there is a a lot of playing catch-up and reactiveness. I used to feel that the value was well worth it, now I am wondering if it is worth the coin with other viable options out there. Normally, with a regular addon, I would not say anything, but when I am paying for an addon, I feel that I have the right to voice my opinion.

Are you using the new toast notifications or the old notifications? Also, are you completely out of combat when you pick up things? If you are in a group the whole group would need to be out of combat for you to be considered out of combat at that point. Pop ups can't happen while you are considered in combat by the game server.

Old Toast Notifications, but new ones end with the same result, so not related. And yes, out of combat, boss looted, after rezes (which means out of combat), still no pop up.

First, if you use widgets go into the Profile section of the guide viewer settings in game and click on Backup. That should give you a string that you can copy/paste into a text file on your computer to save it. Then do the following steps to do a full guide reset:

1. exit WoW
2. go to the WoW/_retail_/Interface/Addons folder and delete any Zygor folders
3. go to the WoW/_retail_/WTF/Account/<your account name here>/SavedVariables folder and delete the Zygor files in there
4. run the desktop client and install a fresh copy of the guides
5. go back in game to test and see if that fixed it

If that fixed it then you can go back into the guide viewer settings and in the Profile section you can paste that backup string into the box at the bottom and click on Restore. That will restore your widget layout and data.

That would be wonderful..... if the restore didnt lock up the game...

Try disabling all other addons first to see if it locks up by itself.
