Additional Options Idea

I just had an idea hit me this morning....

In the setting tab, would it be possible to add some options that could be chosen with a check box? These are....

- Fastest to 50 (V10)
- Include Skyshards
- Include Lorebooks
- Include Public Dungeons
- The Completionnist (include everything)

You already have the fastest to 50 and v10 with all 3 faction guides once we finish getting the veteran levels working properly. Skyshards will most likely be a separate guide to go thru and get just those. Same for Lorebooks if we make a guide for those. As far as I know there are no plans currently for doing any guides for dungeons. And finally we don't include every quest in the game in our guides (that would be the slow path to max level).

But I was thinking that it just be one guide and the player could choose from the settings what steps (from a single guide) they want on or off.

As far as making the path to 50 slow, who cares? Not everyone that buys your guides buys it for speed to 50. They buy it for efficiency. Less running around and back and forth past the same areas 20 times. There are FOR more completionists out there than there are speed levelers. If you marketed the guide with options for speed to 50 as well as a completionists guide to 50, you would get many more customers.

Also, noone will buy a separate guide for skyshards and lorebooks. With The addons by Garkin along with the minimap from LUI you can very easily see when you are near a lorebook or skyshard and just make a 10 second detour. A short detour in the long run taking less time than returning to zones after 50 to just collect crap.

I didn't say there would be a charge for other guides. That hasn't been determined and they might just be free. I only said they would be separate from the Leveling guide. For your idea that would require that we go back and start all over and re-write all the guides again to make sure everything is added in where it belongs in the guide and to also grab and add in quests that we didn't originally put into the guides. Since we have to worry about WoD expansion guides and Wildstar guides I doubt that we'll be spending that kind of time and resources to re-write the guides to make everything one big giant guide with a few options on what gets displayed.

I think an amazing idea would be a guide implemented on how to level up a char, like how to spend skills point for the type of character u want. For example, u want a healing tank, so on that matter spend the skills points properly into gear and skills to become a healing tank. Or if u want a mage with heavy armor and all that.

Lorebooks and skyshards can be obtained with other addons. But in WoW you have gearfinder guide.. now that would be epic.
