Lunar Festival has wrong dates

The Lunar Festival event guide has the wrong dates.

The guide currently says February 14th - March 6th.

The WOW Calendar says it starts on January 23 and ends on February 13th.

Thanks for the post Carmoca;

Im not sure how long you have been in game, but...... The events guide came out about a year ago. What you see in that guides section are the events that have passed. You may have noticed the events get changed around a bit, from where things are picked up from, or the dates they start on. Mainly the start dates are because Bliz likes to start things on weekends, and as you know, the third weekend of this month starts on different dates than it did last year.
But no worries, everything gets updated once the event kicks off, and you get any and all changes to the current event, including dates.

Kamchak is right, we will make sure to update this event when it is out. They do change these dates sometimes, but nothing to worry about for our Guide.

Ah, ok. I purchased my copy in December 2010. The Merrymaker event guide didn't exist until shortly before the date so I thought the events were "pulled" until *just* before the event goes live. So, this information (above) helps a bunch. Thanks! :P

No worries. :-) The event guides didn't exist before each event went live this year because this is the first year the Dailies guides have been available. So, we just created each event guide once the actual event rolled around. However, this year, we'll simply be updating the event guides for any changes that were made.

Zygor releases a post here and sends an email when the event is updated, in this case, from the old to new.
It may be a good idea for Zygor to place a year date on the events so people know if it is current or they need to wait for the update.
May help in some problems.

While a year date isn't such a bad idea, right now it's easy. Anything between now and Oct.-Nov. area (don't remember exactly when the shattering happened) is going to be out of date and inaccurate until Zygor can get in game with the event and see what Blizzard decided to change with the event.
