Gear Upgrades

Do gear upgrade suggestion only take into account stats like int, strenth, spirit, etc but not "increase damage done by magical spells by up to 21"?

Zygor keeps wanting me to equip items with no boost to damage but that have more plus int. Doesn't make sense to me.

A lot of the Equip and Use effects on gear are not able to be scored. This is why you should use the gear suggestions as just that, suggestions, and use some personal judgement when it comes to the Equip and Use effects that gear might have on it.

That makes sense, my question was whether the equip and use effects were factored into the score. Sounds like they are not.

Can you guys add an item level score to the gear stat weights? Icyveins puts item level at the top of stats you should pay attention to, but my guides don't know how to calculate that. You should be able to include item level as a stat weight in determining those automatic gear upgrades. Hi Greg.

Item level does not improve your character in any way. The only thing item level does is determine if you can use the dungeon/raid finder tool to enter specific instances. Item level will not give you more hit points, will not make you take less damage, will not make you hit harder, etc. Looking at item level is used to get a general idea if the item might be better but should not have any weight in if the item is good for you to use. I do not know of any addon that has ever given item level any kind of weight and I have never seen anywhere on Icy Veins them having item level listed in the stat priority section for any of the specs.
