Maybe this as already been posted as a suggested route but I did not see it. When I installed my copy of the guide I got all the errors with cartographer and the arrow so I followed the directions and disabled the things I was supposed to and it worked fine minus some of the nice aspects of the cartographer map. I installed the cartographer 3.0 and all seems to be well now plus some nice additions with the new cart. Just an idea that worked for me.

The only real downfall to using Cartographer 3 is that it's also a 'dead' addon. The author has discontinued updating both versions so we have no idea if either of them will work at all after the next patch, whenever that may be.My Flight Path Follies guide

Well, Zygor announced today, that they will bring out their own waypoint/mapping solution, Waypointer. That is good news. I am looking forward to seeing what they come up with. I am hoping for something that can be resized, placed where I want it and on top of almost everything else (make layer configurable?), and most important of all - made NON-interactive, when I have it where I want.
However! Zygor will need to be extremely careful that the new functionality does not collide with existing mapping solutions, like TomTom and Carbonite. That would be like shoting self in foot with a rather large caliber weapon.QQ

It will be basically a basic version of TomTom and Cartographer combined, with only features that suit our guides - such as a waypoint arrow, map dots, and revealing the entire map.Become a Fan of Zygor Guides on Facebook:

Building on known technology (TomTom / Cartographer), is a sound decision.
HOWEVER, there have been some reports of problems with using TomTom with Carbonite, see http://carboniteaddon.com/faq.shtmlQQ
