    Classic Pathing

What is the deal with the pathing with zygor now? Back and forth, have me run to the other end of a town then spin back around and go where i was going before?

No matter what you say this was NOT the state of zygor in the past.....

I have watched this guide have me run for almost 5 min just to turn aroudn and head back where I was already at to begin with, to take a flight path.....

I get that yes someimtes you need to be looking at your map to sus it out, but when that also translates to CONTINENTS away just to have you path back to where you started?

Im another one of the people who are not going to sign up for another month if you guys dont get this taken care of.......

And the bouncing around of some quests only for them to be abandoned when they go grey, because you never led back to them is ridiculous........

We pay for a service, your job is to streamline it, which is what the monthly fee is for........

Can someone explain this to me please? Its not like new quests were added for Classic, theyve been there from the start

Can you give a specific example of what you are talking about? The more details, the better (where you were, what step you were looking at, etc).

honestly damn near all of them......they round a bout like crazy.........come here to the middle of this road, then run all the way back the way you cameand start again ..........or Run all the way to this place, turn right around and go into a structure you were just at........its a bit ridiculous.......

Honestly if the devs are using this youll know exactly what I mean.......have someone start a new character and run zygor and look at its pathing........im a dev myself, theres no way you guys dont know about this.......and how bad it is compared to what it use to be

We do use the guides internally, which is why we asked for specific examples. Without that, we can't really say much, because the guides work fine for us.

I know exactly what the OP is referring to, it is crazy. I think it mostly occurs when I join the path at a point beyond what the guide is using as the starting point of the path exactly, like I run straight to the road and come in down the path a bit then the guide arrow does not "catch up" with me and won't until I go to that exact starting point it is pointing at. The retail guide is very good at advancing the arrow no matter where I enter the path but classic has to have you touch the exact point. Also, when you try to advance a step on classic, it sometimes won't because of there being multiple objectives that need to be met first, whereas in retail each step can be advanced more easily since they are not "clumped" together.

I think this is what the OP is talking about. Basically, what I did here, was follow the guide and took a
Windrider from Crossroads to Camp Taurajo,, and once I landed, it's telling me to "Follow the road", which I almost did, thinking I had to go kill mobs, before I realized that the pathing didn't update. If I click on "Accept 'Tribes at War'", the pathing will update.

This isn't the first time it's happened, but I just saw this thread. Hope it helps.

I've been noticing this as well. Now I don't bother with quests. I just grind lvl and only accept quests if they are in the area I am grinding.

If you click the footprint icon on the guide viewer it will show you all waypoints for the step that lead you along. The arrow points to them in order so if you take a flight and don't go to the first waypoint in the list the arrow will still be trying to take you to that first waypoint in the list.

Which would make sense, but the guide told me to take the flight, then go back to the path, then to the NPC. I have done the click to update pathing but I don't think it should be required.

Not sure if there'd be a way to do a check where it checks the distance to next point, and distance to destination, and if distance to destination is less than distance to next point, it automatically updates?
