Blizzard has confirmed that they plan to add an in-game store to certain versions of World of Warcraft. The news comes via a blue post over on the official World of Warcraft forums in which community manager Bashiok said that they will soon allow for in-game purchases, but only in Asian regions to start with. Although no other regions have been mentioned yet, it would seem like a no brainer to make the store accessible in all versions of the game to save people the hassle of having to go out of game.
Micro-transactions aren’t exactly new to World of Warcraft, the official Blizzard store has been selling special pets and mounts for quite some time now, but the new change is said to bring forth new types of items as well, including an experience buff to assist players with the leveling process.
What do you guys think about the move towards more integrated microtransacations? Is this a good thing? Would you pay for an item that increases your xp faster? Leave a comment and let us know.
It’s going to be ending of mine day, but before ending I am reading this wonderful post to
improve my experience.
I like Your Article about – Gulvafslibning | Kurt Gulvmand Perfect just what I was searching for! .
Excellent beat ! I wish to apprentice while you amend your web site, how
could i subscribe for a blog website? The account helped me a
acceptable deal. I had been a little bit acquainted of this your broadcast offered bright clear concept
The guides are getting to expensive to buy! Why not start up a subscription service for all guides and still allow those who wish to buy individual guides ? I would gladly pay for the subscription service, but not buy the XP boost.
We price our guides based on the initial content delivered plus the cost of monthly updating we have to do to keep the guides in sync with the game. Because of this, we have always felt like a subscription service would be a far superior payment method. It would allow users to gain access to our entire suite of products for one low monthly fee, and expansion upgrades would no longer be required.
We actually proposed switching to a subscription once but unfortunately the idea was not well received by the community and there was overwhelming backlash. Customers made it unmistakably clear that they were only interested in one time payments. As a result, it is extremely unlikely we will ever revisit the subscription idea again.
The problem with offering both subscription and one time fees is that our products must be completely open per Blizzards addons policies, which means that people could pay the cheap subscription fee, get our entire suite of products, then stop paying the sub after one month and they would have everything for a fraction of the regular price. That would drive us out of business.

Thanks for pointing out those errors. I went ahead and fixed the ones you reported. I’m gonna remove some of your posts just to keep things cleaned up in the comments. If you run into any more issues please report them using the Support page. Thanks again.
It makes no diff to me, the only time I use the Micro-Transactions is to buy my wife a little gift.
Bye bye WoW
You’re going to leave over something that’s been ingame since 2008/2009?
This isn’t even news. All they are doing is expanding the types of items their microtransaction store has. That’s a good thing.
This has been a hot-button topic on the WoW forums. I’m absolutely fine with the exp buff. People are worried about “pay-to-win”, but that’s not what this is, IMHO. It’s no different than RAF and Heirlooms. And, it’s great to use with Zygor’s for leveling alts. Bring it on I say!
Sure, I would pay for an xp boost. It takes me less time to earn the money for an xp buff than it takes to earn a full set of heirlooms.
