At BlizzCon 2026 this past weekend, Blizzard finally confirmed the long-rumored existence of “Classic Plus” with the announcement of World of Warcraft: Forever. The new version will keep many of the core mechanics of Classic WoW while expanding on them with new quests and zones. These additions will branch away from the game’s established continuity, exploring alternate storylines and “what if” scenarios within the Warcraft universe.
This new version of the game will sit alongside Retail and Classic, and will be released on November 4th, 2026.
The beta for WoW: Forever begins September 17th, and work is already underway by the Zygor Team to develop guides for this new version of the game. Due to the announced level restrictions in beta, we may be limited in what we’ll be able to cover initially, but we will do our best to have as much content available on day one as possible and will work quickly post-launch to complete anything that could not be finished in the beta.
That means there are no plans to have guides ready for the beta as we want to ensure they are working fully for launch. We appreciate all the requests for you guys wanting to beta test our guides and your enthusiasm to stick with Zygor for this next chapter of WoW.
As Always, these new guides will be added as part of the Zygor Elite subscription at no additional charge. All you will need is an active Zygor Elite subscription and you will be able to access these guides at launch, which will be ahead of the games official launch.
Stay tuned to our Discord and official news channels for more updates on Zygor’s World of Warcraft: Forever. We’ll have more to share leading up to the guides official release.
Thank you everyone!
Hi! Are there any plans to make the Forever guides fully available in Spanish?
Zygor has a large Spanish-speaking community, and I’m sure many players would love to have the guides completely translated. It would be a great addition to the project!
Thanks!
Right now nothing dedicated for Spanish but Zygor does work with local languages. I would love for extended support for Spanish so i can pass the word along.
As a long time zygor user I’m disappointed that there’s no beta version as i want to test out my route before launch. At the moment im using the free version of restedXP from curseforge but still miss the look and feel of zygor.
I may pull the trigger and buy restedxp if there’s no version of zygor available before launch.
We understand, its just we want to focus our efforts on a full finished product instead of having a beta guide that isn’t fully working.
Hello Zygor team,
I am a French-speaking WoW player and I will be starting WoW Forever on November 4.
I have a question about translation. Is there any possibility of translating the Zygor addon (interface, guide text and tooltips) into French, using an AI-assisted workflow such as Claude Code?
I am asking because I would be glad to help. The idea would be to generate a first French translation of your addon texts with Claude Code, then review it by hand so the game terminology matches the official French client (quest names, zones, classes, items).
A few questions to see if this could work:
1. Do you already have a French translation planned, or a system that accepts additional languages?
2. Are the addon texts stored in separate language files that a translator could work on?
3. Do you accept community contributions, and under what conditions (license, review process)?
4. If not, would you be open to testing such an approach on your side?
I understand that it may not be possible, and I would appreciate any information about how you handle translation.
Thank you for your time and for your work on the addon.
Best regards,
Haadès
Will you be able to combine a profession and levelling guide, so that as you level you can maximise efficiency by collecting nearby mats for e.g you should have mining to lvl 30 before the next quest. It’s just a natural evolution and if the data points are there for ai should be easy to implement. How is so linked with the addon?
I don’t think we’ve combined them before but this would be a neat idea.
Hope y’all are ready to have some patience lol. Zygor isn’t blizzard so they will probably be building these guides on the fly. 1-30 will probably be ready by launch. but after that we just have to hope they can update the guides fast enough. we can probably assume 80% of the work is done using classic quests. Most updates Will probably be the 33-38 level range. Appreciate the hard work and the future high stress efforts that will be put in come launch week. I don’t know if they will be able to update the guides daily or not.
Thank you!
I sure hope at lest you guys can put in a 1-20 Guide for us to test at this point? Rested XP has already been doing it for free atm and we are paying for this.. would love to help proof it out
As always we are focused on the main guides being completed. Zygor has never really done beta guides.
They used to have it, it gave you most if not all quests but also gave you the option to skip overleveled quests, Not sure why they ever took it out, but now its all about speedign through it. If what i have been seeing from wow devs and others exploration is gonna be a key in this new WOW
I agree with most comments here, I would love to see an option where you can pick up dungeon quests with the leveling guide incorporated.
will the guide be available on november 4th?
For official launch yes!
Yes, it would be great to have leveling pick up the quests for dungeons as you level and guide you as to when you should hit each dungeon as part of your leveling process.
Not a bad idea! I know in general if dungeon quests are worth it then it would make sense to add it to the route.
i was wondering if there a guide for consoles if they decide to do xbox
Updated gold guides would be greatly appreciated too
I can ask on this!
Will this guide include step by step directions for the most efficient way to grind reputation from beginning to exalted for factions like Stormwind?
It depends on when we put out the rep guides. Keep an eye out for more info!
Unfortunately, for those of us planning to rush on day one, not being able to test our leveling routes on the beta is quite a handicap :/. A level 1–20 beta version would have allowed us to familiarize ourselves with the route and make any adjustments we wanted on our end.
I completely understand but we want to make sure the main guides are in working order. Focusing our time and attention on the finished product instead of a half baked guide.
This is huge, zygor makes my time on wow 1000% more enjoyable! Thanks Zygor!
Thank you!
Yeah, incorporate dungeon quests in the “fast levelling guide” is the best. Those dungeon quests gives massive amount of XP!
Does this mean that there is a working version for the beta, or strictly reserved for the official launch?
No beta guides, just for launch.
Would be nice to have an option to complete each and every quest in game for completionist people like me. Especially since this is “Forever” project. Maybe just option to “Clean the zone for 100%” or something like that.
We have been getting many requests for this and I’ll pass it along to the content team.
I’ve always used zygor and i think it’s the best. I think focusing a guide to proffesions to help out with leveling would be nice. It would be a way to get better gear etc to make leveling smoother.
Could we potentially look to have loremaster type guides for wow Forever? as we are going to be here, well, forever, a lot of my friends intend to do every quest in a zone exploring the lore rather than chasing max level with an optimised questing path.
This is a GREAT idea.
Thanks for the update, totally makes sense 🙂
Given the beta build will be heavily encrypted and capped at level 30. You may want to level set what will be available at launch.
For me I would like full zone by zone guides. And new profession/farming.
We are working on this and hope to have more info soon.
Please can you add an option to pick up dungeon quests as we level to do the dungeons as dungeon xp is now reduced
I think this would be awesome!
