As a solo player in Season 2 12.1 Midnight, you can reach above 321 ilvl, which is equivalent to entry myth tier gear. We will be running through all the gear sources for each tier of gear and the crests to upgrade them with. To give you a clear checklist of what content you should be focusing on.

Through solo content such ad Delves, Prey, crafting and the great vault, you can push your ilvl above the gear found on typical outdoor content. The goal of this guide is to ensure your gearing can be done solo but still to a somewhat competitive ilvl.

Adventurer Gear

Adventurer gear gives you a solid starting point but only scales up to 282, don’t spend too long focusing on obtaining a full set of this gear as the next couple of tiers offer sources that are approachable even for a more under geared character.

Rare spawns have a guaranteed drop chance although it may not be a piece you can utilise but with a bit of luck these can get you decked out in gear quite quickly, you can then fill out the remaining pieces with things like World Quests and BOEs

Adventurer Crests

The sources of crests for your adventurer gear are:

• Normal Prey
• Cursed Surges
• Void Strikes and Void Incursions
• Heroic Dungeons
• Tier 1-4 Delves

Cursed Surges are time gated, they don’t take long to complete once active but you’ll be waiting a while, so Prey, HC Dungeons or Delves will be your best source based on preference.

Veteran Gear

Veteran gear is where you have the best access to gear sources and a lot of it is easy to approach, so I would recommend moving to targeting Veteran as soon as possible.

The world content in Vaults of Atal’utek rotates between the Strikes, Incursions and Ancient Foes, so isn’t too bad of a casual way to grind up crests and gear, doing your hard prey is a good option too or if a fast delve variant is active.

Champion Gear

Champion gear there begins to be less options but you can still get quite a few pieces of champion gear week to week.

Champion gear can be obtained from:

• Nightmare Prey
• Tier 7-11 Bountiful Delves
• Tier 6-7 Delves with Trovehunter’s Bounty
• Zah’ran in Delves once you reach rank 5
• Delve Nemesis on Tier 7+
• Additional Champion drops once you reach rank 9
• Venom-Cursed Fragments – Ancient Foe and Purifying the Vaults weekly both give one fragment each week
• Affilicated Souls
• Zul’jarra’s Forces Renown 9
• Normal BOE
• Conquest Gear Vendor
• Great Vault

There isn’t any farmable options for you but you can get 2 from prey, multiple from delves and one consistently from the weekly Vault of Atal’utek content.

Champion Crests

Champion Mistcreats to upgrade your Champion gear can be obtained from:

• Nightmare Prey
• Tier 7-10 Delves
• Tier 6-7 Trovehunter’s Bounty
• Ancient Foe
• Delve Nemesis
• Crest Conversion

There isn’t a great option, it will be choosing between farming Nightmare Prey or higher tier delves.

Hero Gear

Hero pieces will come much less frequently, this starts to be near the end game point for you as a solo player, so every piece of Hero gear you can get is vital.

They will be available from:

• Tier 8-11 Delve with a Trovehunter’s Bounty
• Rank 9 in Delve Journey – T11 Delves provide chance for Hero
• Rank 9 in Prey Journey – Bountiful Delves provide chance for Tormented Souls
• BOE
• Crafted gear
• Great Vault
• Bonus Roll token

Later in the season Hero pieces will be more plentiful due to the journey rank perks but early on you will be relying on a small amount of sources. You should also consider crafting Hero level gear using your Hero crests but upgrading strong Hero pieces especially BIS trinkets is something to think about too.

Hero Crests

For your Hero gear the upgrade crests come from:

• Tier 8+ Trovehunter’s Bounty
• Tier 11 delves + Gilded Stashes
• ? Nemesis
• Nightmare Prey
• Ral’kala
• Weekly Housing Quest
• Crest Conversion

There is also two sources of uncapped hero crests, if you complete the Nemesis delve on ? difficulty you will receive 30, also doing a tier 11 delve will give you a cracked keystone which pushes you into a singular keystone M+ run but gives uncapped Hero and Myth crests, so it’s strongly advised to do at least this group based content

Myth gear you will be extremely limited, the pieces will come slow, in terms of the sources:

• Mythic BOE
• Crafted gear using Myth crests

That’s currently all you will have access to, your content won’t be difficult enough for the vault to award Myth track and nothing else will drop it, so your Myth tier progression will be getting as many Myth crests as you can and crafting gear with them.

Myth Crests

For Myth crests you will only have the Gilded Stashes from T11 delves and these are capped at 4 stashes per week and killing the nemesis on ?? each week for 5 additional crests. That’s why doing the cracked keystone is highly advised as Myth crests are going to be sparce for you.

Also ensure you are prioritising high value crafting pieces, weapons and embellishments are probably going to be extremely strong for you but check into your specs crafting priority in particular to ensure you dont waste the crests.
