Travel System Bug (Shadowmoon Portal) and Improvement (Ashran Portal)

Not sure where to post this as I suspect it falls under the travel system generally rather than a specific guide.

Firstly, I had my Travel System set to "Fastest" and in attempting to return to my garrison in Shadowmoon it suggested I teleport to Tol Barad, take the portal from there to SW and then click the portal there to Shadowmoon. As I understand there's a portal at the "earth shrine" in SW that takes you to Shadowmoon but that wasn't appearing for me on that character. Perhaps I have to open all of the Cata portals for the Shadowmoon one to appear?

Secondly the travel system doesn't make use of the portal to Ashran within the garrison.

When you say at the earth shrine, do you mean the area where they have all the portals for the Cata zones? And I take it the Ashran portal in the garrison is only when you reach a level 3 garrison? So far I only have a level 2 garrison and haven't seen any portals in the garrison.

Yes to both.

For the Earthshrine (http://wowpedia.org/Eastern_Earthshrine) the guide pointed to a spot close to the middle of the circle of portals however upon visiting there (and now also on my main char that has unlocked all Cata portals) there is nothing to be seen. I can only assume there was something there during the Beta (or it disappears once you receive a Garrison hearth stone) as someone else also commented on it back in June: http://us.battle.net/wow/en/forum/topic/13272407295#7

As for the portal in to Ashran from the Garrison, the coordinates are 70.2, 27.5 for the Alliance. I can't comment on the Horde. It takes you pretty much to the flight point location in Stormshield (32.0, 52.3).
