Dk tanking?

I'm looking for the best dk tank spec for raiding and heroic farming!

The two preferred specs are either a 53/8/10 Blood build or a 15/51/5 Frost Build. Both of these specs use a slow 2H weapon, you can try 12/52/7 DW Frost, but I am not a big fan with the increased chance to miss that is inherent with dual wielding.

If you are just starting out as a DK tank, I suggest going with the Frost build you will have an easier time with multiple targets. As you get better gear Blood tanking really starts to shine especially with Icecrown and the emphasis now being on effective health for tanks.

I had a 80 geard dk tank b4 toc patch but I deleted him bc he was an Allie and on a duffer server. But I'm used to dk tanking still a lil.

The guild was doing really good but I was working6 days a week after I got 50+ ppl to join the guild an most raiders so they left ovie bc I couldn't raid lol

but I got 37 ppl or so and it's a casual guild for now..
But I made the dk on a new server but horde lol b/c kalecgos has some realy good raid guilds

That sucks what happened with the guild and all. At least you found a decent server for raiding.

DK tanking is pretty easy in my opinion since there are no issues with rage or mana mangement and I have never had an issue with generating enough rp. They do tend to take a bit more damage than pallys and warriors, but that's what happens when you can't lug a shield around.

I'm confused... which can be easily done sometimes.

You were/are recruiting for a guild you created with the focus of raiding, pulling people's attention and investments into your vision, but then you created a DK on a different server because the guilds there are good raiding guilds? ..weird i think.

Also, i am confused as to why you deleted a "Geared" Death Knight that was on a different server than the one you are playing on. In case you weren't aware, you can have more than one DK so long as they are not on the same server... Maybe i misread that i guess..

I deleted him but sent all my gold to the wifes then sold a cloth on the ah for 7k and I got 6200g from it after ah cut lol
plus the k was Allie and I hatedthe Allie side on kalecgos lol.

I made the guild to raid but worked so much rite after I got ppl
then I just started a dk on kalecgos on horde to raid also on that server!
But I stil got my 3 lvl 80's on azshara that I play all the time still.

Ty Ray I'm tryn both specs out now...I had 6k gold on the Allie dk I sent my new horde dk's lol so I got duel spec on mine lol

and bought 16 titansteel bars for 60-65g each and gave the wife 2k and me 2k gold. I no that I'll need the bs bracers made since tanking braces suck lol.
So I just need to wait for the wife to play so we can lvl em now!

I finally got to 60 lol
and i'm pulling 600+ dps in blood spec and doing 40% + of the overall damage lol
and the wife is doing like 35% of the damage also as unholy and I tell her not to use DnD and pestilence so much lol so I can hold arrgo lol

np and nice job.

I really hate DPS DKs who drop DnD before you get a chance to build up threat. I usually ask them to hold off on dropping it for one cycle through their rotation after that I should have built up a sizable amount of threat and they can drop it when ever they want.
