    First lvl80 now what?

    i've just got to lvl80 my first one thanks to zygor guides but whats best to do now? is it just battlegrounds to get honor points to get gear? where do you get the best gear?

    In need of lots of advice, major noob here lol

      i have also got your dailies guide and i am doing the daily quests and doing battle grounds just to get honor points but i am after advice as what to do now do i just keep doing battlegrounds for honor points to get better gear? also wat gear do i need?

        Be one with your google-fu.

        By simply typing "what to do at lvl 80 in WoW" into google.com, i came up with a brief read which will put you in a good direction. Anything in which you want more explanation on, google that as well.

          Honestly, level 80 is where the game really starts. What do you want to do?
          • PvP and/or PvE?
          • Grind gold to buy fancy items and eq?
          • Collect every vanity pet?
          • Run LFGs for EoT / EoF for Tier eq?
          • Max out professions and the secondary ones as well? (fishing is boring but I made 450 finally)
          • Grind rep with EVERY faction out there?
          • Try for the highest DPS on your server?
          • Go back and explore the world?
          • Work on achievements?
          • Spend 2-3 weeks working on the Netherwig mount?
          • and so on ...


          The beauty, and curse, of warcraft is the flexibility. You asked a very open ended question. Let me ask you, What do (or did based on age) you want to do when you graduate high school? Kind of the same question. There are just so many options that no one can answer that question for you. We can give advice and help once you decide.

            Congrats on your first 80, it is truly a magical event.

            I have to disagree with antacus on 80 being where the game really starts, it really starts when you choose to start. As a fan of the lore, the game begins at character generation and I though don't do RP, I try to create a little back story to each toon I roll. I have found that with a decent back story I can maintain interest in the toon even during those times when it seems like you are never going to make it to the next level, some level 80 clown insists on ganking level 12 toons, or killing the quest givers at the Crossroads

            As for what to do, that depends on what you want to do. If you want to focus on PVP and the Arena, hang out in the battle grounds and earn those honor points to get better gear, enchants, and gems.

            Do you want to raid? Then get used to farming heroics for emblems to get better gear, so you can get into some raids. If you plan on doing this, then I would plan on spending some time in the battlegrounds to get the honor points you can buy epic gems with. If you can do transmutes or are a JC you can skip this if you like.

            If you like questing there are still a lot of quests out there to do.

            And if you like achievements you can go crazy on them as well.

            I like to suggest trying them all and see what you like.

              Thanks everyone for your advice i now know that i asked a very big question lol

              I dont think pve is for me lol probably just do pvp, if i stick to doing battlegrounds do i just wanna be getting honor points? also where do i need to go to get gear and weapons best suited for pvp? I am a blood death knight so could anyone advice me on gear and weapons best for that?

                  Just wondering, what class you playing? I have been reading on Pally PVP options since I am wanting to run him dual tank / pvp. Just looking at the pally there seems to be multiple choices for how to do PVP. A holy build appears to be highly desired for arena and good for battlegrounds but I am leaning towards ret so I can take a beating PVE then offset that with giving beatings PVP
