This is a question I ask myself every time I load up a guide on something. I've used this guide for many years and by now I have most of the leveling routes memorized. I mainly just use the guide for things like Rares in Shadowlands, BFA, Legion etc crafting leveling, you get the idea. But that is where the trouble begins. The guides and I'm sorry I'm going to be blunt here, the guides are horrible. 90% of the guides for things like Rares and achieves are just "Go here and kill this" with no further explanation.
Let me use an example, I was trying to get an item off of Zargox the Reborn, I clicked on the map icon for the rare, the guide loaded up, said to just go to X and use an item on a big pile of bones to summon him. Great. What the guide doesn't tell you is that you need to use the item on other smaller pile of bones in the area in order to even be able to summon the rare. If i have to go to WoWhead to figure this out, then why am I paying for this service?
