Our client doesn't touch anything other than Zygor files. It would not have changed your talents. Please double check the client settings to make sure nothing changed with the installation folders. If something in there changed it's possible that a 2nd install of WoW is being run which would really mess with what you see in game.Become a Fan of Zygor Guides on Facebook:

If you made custom Zygor files you should have been aware that they would be over-written with any update and have had backups of the files. Did you think you would be able to go with no guide updates and have the guides continue to work indefinitely from game patch to game patch?Become a Fan of Zygor Guides on Facebook:

lets get lawyers invaulved and ask them if your client "as in the soft ware outside the game" should touch any files that are not in the release and if that software should ever update itself without user consent. "We already know the answer to that" they had custom name like "mytallent1.lua" I have used it for a VERY VERY long time with out an addon update deleting them, client and addon are 2 different things

Did you perform a reinstall? If not, are the files still in the folders and just not loading in game?Become a Fan of Zygor Guides on Facebook:

when the software does an addon update, I would have to go and rename my backup file so the addon would load the custom files none of it is there after the software update "I find this unacceptable", I understand and accept that you or your software will be updating the guide file but never should it update the software without first telling me so I can take steps to ensure that this never happens
No I did not reinstall. Even if I were to, shame on you to think you or your software should use a "del folder" command. At this point in your company, you software should have the AI to detect custom files and how to deal with them "all current install software does". I started the the Zygor Guides Client software "as I try to never run it when the game is, as I find it makes the game run like crap", it did an software update I got 6 dialogs telling me the software was already running telling me that your command to kill the client failed and tried to launch another copy.

That's the first time anyone has reported any kind of problem with the client trying to relaunch itself over and over. This sounds like a very unique situation. The client updating itself should not have performed any kind of a wipe of the guide files and to my knowledge no one else has had the client updating wipe out their guide files. The only times that there would be a guide file wipe is when you request a reinstall of the guide files or if a product is removed from your account. Since your account has not changed in months and you did not request a reinstall of the files then the guide files should not have been touched except for a normal guide update if there was one when the client was updated.
Edit: as a quick note, you can safeguard your custom files by implementing them as a stand-alone addon in a separate directory from the Zygor files. http://mmoexploiters.com/wow-how-to-...zygors-viewer/Last edited by Zygor Support; March 4, 2015, 06:23 PM.Become a Fan of Zygor Guides on Facebook:

My custom guide files inside the guide folders did not get deleted with the latest client updates. So what you experienced is not a normal behaviour of the client.
But I always have backups of my files, just in case I accidently click the repair button or want to do a repair and forget about my files.
If it's not too late you may try a recovery software, I personally use Recuva for this, there's a portable version of this program available that can be extracted to an USB drive to prevent more writing to the disk which could overwrite lost file fragments:

BTW, do you also save your documents into the program folder of your office software and complain when they get deleted when the office installer changes something?
Putting files into a folder that gets created by a third party program and not keeping a backup is simply stupid.Last edited by Cartman; March 17, 2015, 01:26 PM.

1) the use of a raw delete command is stupid and careless as they do now have the right not remove anything from my computer without consent
2) auto updating without my consent is violating privacy
3) I posted is "tech support" not "Cartman support", I didn't ask "Cartman can you help me with the update client software that you did not author" cause that would just be stupid of me
Just like in windows it is MY choice of when and if I want to update, yes I have custom files ALL over in my computer including the program directory, strange how I have done this since windows 95 and never have I had a problem till the Zygor client software. Last I check I OWNED the computer and can store file where I deem fit.
As for the last part I made the Zygor folder and pasted files into it, LONG before the update client was even created.
Here is the standard autoload.xml created and shipped with the AddOn, Do I really need to point out where it says "<!-- Autoloading of included builds. Add more files here as you please. -->" key word here, implying that they would be safe and should I add that the authors added that text to the file?
Autoload.xml
Code:<Ui xmlns="http://www.blizzard.com/wow/ui/" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xsi:schemaLocation="http://www.blizzard.com/wow/ui/ ..\FrameXML\UI.xsd"> <!-- Autoloading of included builds. Add more files here as you please. --> <Script file="ZygorGuidesBuilds.lua"/> <Script file="Build01.lua"/> <Script file="Build02.lua"/> <Script file="Build03.lua"/> <Script file="Build04.lua"/> <Script file="Build05.lua"/> <Script file="Build06.lua"/> <Script file="Build07.lua"/> <Script file="Build08.lua"/> <Script file="Build09.lua"/> <Script file="Build10.lua"/> <Script file="Build11.lua"/> <Script file="Build12.lua"/> <Script file="Build13.lua"/> <Script file="Build14.lua"/> <Script file="Build15.lua"/> <Script file="Build16.lua"/> <Script file="Build17.lua"/> <Script file="Build18.lua"/> <Script file="Build19.lua"/> <Script file="Build20.lua"/> <Script file="Build21.lua"/> <Script file="Build22.lua"/> <Script file="Build23.lua"/> <Script file="Build24.lua"/> <Script file="Build25.lua"/> <Script file="Build26.lua"/> <Script file="Build27.lua"/> <Script file="Build28.lua"/> <Script file="Build29.lua"/> <Script file="Build30.lua"/> <Script file="Build31.lua"/> <Script file="Build32.lua"/> <Script file="Build33.lua"/> <Script file="Build34.lua"/> <Script file="Build35.lua"/> <Script file="Build36.lua"/> <Script file="Build37.lua"/> <Script file="Build38.lua"/> <Script file="Build39.lua"/> <Script file="Build40.lua"/> </Ui>
Algorithms and API's were created to prevent this sort of thing from happening
