In all honesty, I can't tell if this is a troll attempt or a genuine call for help.

Just follow the guide and don't stray from it, it is meant to be a grind from 70-80 which means it will take time. Keep it up, you will get there eventually.

      its a journey...

      Hi Sappy,

Really, it does take some effort, but if you just stay with the guide, its not as hard as you might think

I am a supercasual player myself, only get to play a few hours here and there... I currently use like 5-7 hours of playing to level up. My main is now at 78, really would like to hit 80 before Cata though, after some 12days of in-game-time... ( Yup, I do not just follow the guide, I tend to stray off and do other stuff, hanging at the AH and switching professions as if they were green-gear )

I feel that the last few levels since hitting Northrend has been the most fun of them all. Sure, there are those silly grindquest, but there is sooo much going on, its really an adventure .) I enjoy every single minute in-game, listening to the stories the npc's tell, discovering the landscape and watching the beauty of the majestic hills of IceCrown as I fly above!! Yup cold-weather flying rules!!

Stick to the guide, do the grinding ( only as part of the quests though, none needed elsewhere ), enjoy, smile, play... You'll get there

      -Urugnek-

PS: If you need advice, please post your race and abilities, e.g BloodElf Hunter. I can use my pet and pull like 5-6 mobs with ease out there, but if I was a priest, it might be a little different. Approach new zones with caution There is evil lurking )

74-80 is Easy... but easy and non-time consuming are 2 totally different things. 75-80 takes almost as long as 1-70 does, because you have to gain an absolute crap ton of XP to level. Stick to the guide, it will get you there in the fastest (questing) path possible.

Something you can do to help boost the speed, is run randoms. Quest while you are waiting for the dungeon to queue up.

It is strange but my chars took more time per level to get to 74 than later on. This can be related to bad equipment as you need to replace every item in Tundra and Fjord. It can also be related to the design of the zones.

If you rush through the guide you'll need about 3 hours per level from 70 to 80. If you are familiar with the game you'll need about 3.5 days /played time to level 60, one day from 60-70 and 1.5 days from 70 to 80 (all without heirlooms).

I was off work ill for a week when I levelled my last toon from 70-80. It was taking between 2 and 3 hours per level with full BoA gear. I hit 80 towards the end of the Zul'Drak quests.

I pull about 14 dailies in addition to the guide. Gives me rep, gold and a ton of experience pts. Might slow the leveling process down a tad from just following the guide, but I think the benefits are worth it (almost to exalted with Kalu'ak ... my penguin awaits!).

Not sure if this is the right spot for this question

                Hi
as to the title lev 73-80, well I hit 80 before getting this guide and this is what I did

1 all quest in Borean Tundra
                2 most quest in Dragonblight
3 all quest in Howling Fjord
                4 moving back to Dragonblight
5 some quests in Grizzly Hills
                6 Hitting 80 in Zul'Drak

Now talking about Zul'Drak for the Alliance guide Line 64 for Lev76 said to get a "Writhing Choker" which is a drop..... WELL been 2 days farming and still not a drop.

On the next patch Please Please don't but in dropped typed quests or even escort type quests - a drop quest is a bonus and a escort (not many) need at least 2 people to complete to get the max XP points

sorry about this but I would just like to get it off my chest
                Elune be with you

There was another post about that Writhing Choker. It seems that there are 2 different chokers that drop that start quest chains and I believe that it's the Unliving Choker that's needed.

The choker usually drops after killing 2-3 mobs. As Cabby stated there seems to be the wrong choker in the guide, just look into your bags and you will most likely find the other choker. The quest names will be different but for both chokers you will do the same actions until it leads to the final quest of this chain.

I could not agree more. There are periods through out the guide where you tend to slow down and you seem to be doing tonnes of quests and getting no-where. Then out of the blue you seem to take off again and level like crazy.

Best advise is to just stick with the guide. It is still the fastest way to 80 (if you have any BOA gear...that will help too LOL)

I love the Guides but I do advise you to supplement them with the best available Dailies as you go. In the early 70's try the Quel'Danas dailies (I uploaded a contributed Guide for these). Once you start working through Northrend, do the Howling Fjord and Kaluak dailies. You get gold and more importantly, reputation. Exalted with the Kaluak gives you the game's best fishing rod and a penguin pet among other things.

Depending on your level and choice of Dailies, you can gain up to a fifth of a level before returning to the Guide for your steady advance.
