Draenor quest/zone progression

I am curious.. what is the best for leveling in Draenor and Zygor? The guide doesn't seem to auto switch to the next zone very fast (if at all). But if I look at the "Menu" page it will "recommend" the next zone (starred).

Is it best to progress in each zone or move on? I know more followers come from deeper quest lines etc.. but I'm more interested in speed on alts, rather than getting all the followers.

The amount of extra XP you get from the next zone is very small. Moving to the next zone generally won't have any huge impact on your leveling times like it does in the older zones. This means you can either move on or just finish out the guide without it really making a difference. We currently have the next zone suggestion pop-up turned off as we debug the Leveling guides and also to make sure there isn't any hidden pre-requisites being missed like Blizzard did with the MoP zones and quest lines.

zygor is BIG ON NOT MOVING ON. BEWARE if you dont get through enough nagrand your ilevel will be well below 600 at level 100. lower level zones dont matter so much but go to nagrand as soon as you hit level 98. but try and get the garrison stuff done also.

You don't need a high ilvl to quest in Nagrand.

no you dont but the higher your ilvl when you hit 100 the better
