I am looking forward to the Elite program. I have been with you for the past 6 years and at one time was purchasing one guide per month trying to keep up. Question, will the Elite program cover both alliance and horde, and how will upgrading be managed. Will we download each guide, or is the Elite package including all of the individual packages in one product? $4.99 is a great price compared to up to $25.00 each month. Thanks for putting this together.

I can't speak officially for Zygor but it will be for both alliance and horde for the one monthly price. I also believe we won't have to come back and download anything from the site (assuming you've already got the Zygor updater and plugin installed), but once we sign up, the account will be updated and all we will have to do is open up the Zygor updater and it will download anything we're missing automagically.
But I'm sure you'll get an official confirmation soon...
PS. I'm looking forward to signing up as well.Last edited by voltec; November 25, 2015, 08:19 AM.* Signature to be Updated at a later time *

Voltec got it right. The package will cover every guide we make and once you've signed up for it you'll be using the same desktop client for getting all of the guides installed and keeping them updated.Become a Fan of Zygor Guides on Facebook:

Hello.. just a quick and probably dumb question... I usually play WOW few months here and few months there.. in fact I recently came back to WOW after over 5 years of absence... having said that will I be able to do the same with your elite guide? I mean subscribe when on WOW and un-subscribe when not and on and off when I come back and leave?
Thanks an looking forward for Elite.!

Yes, that is one reason why we are going to have the subscription. It will work just like a game subscription.Become a Fan of Zygor Guides on Facebook:

I too am looking forward to the Elite Program, but I do have a quick question. I only have the Horde Leveling guild and never got the alliance guide. If I sign up for the Elite Program, will I get the $4.99 price or the $7.99 rate? I saw the response to the question of the Elite program covering Horde and Alliance, but was wondering in my case.
Sounds like a very good deal for everyone. Both for the Long time users and for the Current users. Thanks for the work you all do.

I believe if you are a current customer with even one guide you are considered grandfathered in at the $4.99 price. I don't remember seeing anywhere that there was a breakout saying "if you currently own so many guides it's this price, otherwise" so I believe you would be covered. That's an unofficial opinion, but what I understand.

Yes, if you own any guides you will get the $4.99 rate when the subscription option becomes available.Become a Fan of Zygor Guides on Facebook:

Myself when the sub goes live I will quit using the guide totally. Blizzard already said they will ban for such actions, and people are 2 faced someone will complain to Blizzard. As for why I didn't want subs things don't get fixed as it is, dumb shit gets added to keep a select few happy. I have personally reported bugs they are still in the addon from YEARS ago, and before you all reply with stuff like developing the addon costs I get it, how many of you use adons like auconator, DBM, Masterplan? I wounder why they do not charge

You do not have to use the monthly subscription option if you don't want to. It's an option and you will still be able to purchase your guides with one time payments like you have in the past.
Also, could you please link to the official Blizzard post/blog/whatever that says they will ban people for having other subscriptions like we're setting up?Become a Fan of Zygor Guides on Facebook:

here is your link http://us.battle.net/wow/en/forum/topic/1021053914
1) Add-ons must be free of charge.
All add-ons must be distributed free of charge. Developers may not create "premium" versions of add-ons with additional for-pay features, charge money to download an add-on, charge for services related to the add-on, or otherwise require some form of monetary compensation to download or access an add-on.
Make no mistake, till this point they have let you get away with this (rocking the boat will only make it sink); as much as I love this addon and find it very hard to play without "with the bugs it may have" I will not put my account in jeopardy and I am sure allot of others feel the same

We do not sell a premium version of the addon, we simply sell some guide files that the addon can read. If you wanted to you could create your own guides and use our guide viewer and there would be no difference. Now I know this is a bit older but the addon policy has not changed since these were posted.

As you can see Blizzard has been fully aware of us since at least 2011 and have never contacted us to tell us we were violating any of their policies and they have never made it so our addon can't run in the game. And to the best of our knowledge not a single customer has ever been banned because they were using our guides, and we've been selling them for a long time.
I'd also like to point out that one of our main competitors has had a subscription option for at least a year now and they're still in business.Last edited by Zygor Support; November 27, 2015, 02:19 AM.Become a Fan of Zygor Guides on Facebook:
