Does Zygor compress the images?

I noticed that while using a free online image compressor that this image (rating-zygorface4.tga) went from 1.25 mb to 55 kb after compression.

So is Zygor compressing these images in the Skins folder or just leaving it as is?

Also I want to ask the same about Lua compression, is that being done? Because a lower file size obviously means better performance... which is now a grading factor for websites btw, just ask Gtmetrix.

I am not aware of any compression being used other than the zip file compression used for the transfer of files.

Well you guys should look into it. I guessed as much from the web page tests.
