Retail guides in DEV mode

After updating I've come across where a lot of the guides are in Dev mode. I've attached some screenshots showing some of them.

This seems to be a random thing that is happening for some customers. I have yet to be able to reproduce this in game and some of the reports said they only saw it on some of their toons and not all toons. Please try the following.

First, if you use widgets go into the Profile section of the guide viewer settings in game and click on Backup. That should give you a string that you can copy/paste into a text file on your computer to save it. Then do the following steps to do a full guide reset:

1. exit WoW
2. go to the WoW/_retail_/Interface/Addons folder and delete any Zygor folders
3. go to the WoW/_retail_/WTF/Account/<your account name here>/SavedVariables folder and delete the Zygor files in there
4. run the desktop client and install a fresh copy of the guides
5. go back in game to test and see if that fixed it

If that fixed it then you can go back into the guide viewer settings and in the Profile section you can paste that backup string into the box at the bottom and click on Restore. That will restore your widget layout and data.

I did try that right now but the same result. Fresh install, no SaveVariables files. And as you say above in some of my toons.

I have the same problem. Lots of <dev> guides that when loaded point right to complete.

We are trying to track this down but are not having much luck. Can anyone that is seeing the DEV tags please provide us with your faction and a screen shot of your recent guides? If you're not sure where to see the recent guides open up the guide selection window and click on Recent at the top left.

My Horde Druid that had this bug now it's ok now. Everything back to normal. I will check my other toons also

Have a similar issue. Logging into Wrath classic I was getting the out of date error. Cleared out everything and did a fresh install. On the load screen (Horde) showed up to date, when the character came up there was an out of date add-on error as well as an initializing guide error

Have you tested with all other addons disabled? Can you provide a screen shot of the error you see?
