So I currently have the 1-80 horde guide, I want to get the alli and horde 1-85 guide, what is the cheapest/best way of going about this?

The cheapest way would be to buy the upgrade for the horde for $20 USD. Then purchase the Alliance guide for $40 USD. That will cover everything you need because the ordering of the alliance guide right now will give you the cata upgrade for free for it right now when you buy.
