When buying anything do you really consider the companies owner/employees as a reason to pay something?

Normally you own something you bought and that's it. The difference with the guide is that you get free updates for what you bought. So if everyone owns the guide no one will pay for all the bugfixes and enhancements to the guides until a new WoW expansion or a new guide comes out.
I can understand why software companies like to have subscription based support contracts.

It seems to me that the Internet just kills for more business. Everyone wants more money, I come to World of Warcraft for something to do for fun, because it is cheap enough I can afford it. I enjoy questing, but I can quest with or without a guide. It's just been fun questing with Zygor. I really thought the men of Zygor just enjoyed writing the guides by learning the quest chains. Money comes and goes. I wish I could tear down the wall that blocks me from writing programs. But I dont think I would ever pay for another subscription for a subscription game. I'm not here to feed the Internet. I'm here to feed my family and enjoy the Internet.

I am not saying that they are not doing there job, I understand believe me. I am saying that I can not afford another monthly subscription, if they go to that I will be forced to go elsewhere. I understand he needs to support his family and I am not faulting him on that, the guide is good, but I will not pay a monthly fee because I have my family to worry about and we have enough subscriptions in this house, I am not saying he is wrong in doing so because I do understand, I am saying that he will lose some customers, me being one of them.

Out of interest, what is stopping people just paying $5 whenever a large update is realeased? That sounds hugely cost effective for buyers.

I understand the need for consistent income and if you charge a fair fee it's absolutely ok! Your guides are polished and good enough to warrant the right to maintain income!

Just be fair is all, and maintain and improve the fine quality of your product and you will not hear anymore bitching.

I have your guide and the competitor, and while they both have differences, your is much more polished and you usually lead with innovation. Of course you are always aware of competition which keeps us all honest.

ONE ADDITION PLEASE -this the "other" guy has and I like it-when a quest giver gives you an item to use on mobs etc ( a bomb or whatever), create a large icon to click on to use the quest item, and make it go away when quest is complete.

While it's not a large icon, in the guide window beside the step that says to use something is normally an icon of that item and you can click on that to use it. How big your guide scale is really determines how big that icon is, but it's still clickable, just imbedded into the guide window.

I dont think they are talking about that, I think they are mainly saying the picture of the icon should go away after using the item and completing the quest. I admit when I use the item sometyimes it still shows the icons on the next steps until after the item is no longer in my bag. I would at least like it to go away after completing the quest so that I do not have that problem agian.

If the icon stays showing after you move to the next step and there's no line about using that item then it's a bug.

3.2.2644 removes satrina buff frames from UI

I upgraded to version 3.2.2644 yesterday and immediately noticed that all my buff frames had disappeared. I unloaded the Zygor Guides viewer and they came back. Something in the new code prevents the display of the buff frames.

I use Satrina Buff Frames (sbf) and the UI is really unusable (well, game play is impossible) without them. What I would really like at this point to get back in-game is a link to the previous version of the guides. I've requested this from Zygor but no response. Does anyone know where you can find the previous version of the guides?

The button is only able to disappear once you are out of combat. Unfortunately, this is a limitation of having the clickable item buttons in the guide window itself, instead of separate (which is much cleaner).

Unfortunately, we don't have the resources to maintain different versions of the guide. However, we will get this fixed as soon as possible for you.

I use SBF as well and it works fine with latest of Zygors.

Try doing a Repair with your Zygor client. Also, try deleting your SBF addon and installing the latest version of it, and see if that helps.
