But I calle blizz last nite as I was walking in the house b/c it was 758 pacific time lol so I then showered waitn for them and then eat and that was 35 mins and then an other 10min I hear hi this is JAMES!
He gets my info and bla bla then sends me a force password change (that means it on there server so the hackers would NEVER see why I typed IF I had a keylogger) then that also removed the authenicator I didn't put on there and then he summits the tickets for me one to a GM and the other to tech to get my one account unbanned( one got banned prob from the hacker tryn to xfer my lok) then I log in and luckly my lvl 70shaman was not cleaned rite out they stole my heals gear but they didn't sell the gear he had equiped and it looks like they just my colbalt ore on him and didn't look in his bank
so I'm out 20+K gold tons o Lw mats lots of herbs and over 120 epic gems and I can't see wats gone from my lok yet :S
and my dk's on kalecgos had about 3.5k gold between them that's Gone but I'll just delete them toons and stick to one server now(only goodthing)

I called blizzard lastnite and the guy said he'd put a ticket in for a gm an for tech support... Should I put an in game ticket in myself tonite too at least geta update on what's going on or what?

Personally, I would give them a couple of days before doing any inquiries, if you haven't heard anything by tomorrow evening I would open an in-game ticket.

There seems to be lot of accounts being hacked lately. The quality of the scam emails seem to be improving, it used to be real easy to identify them based on gross spelling errors and poor sentence structure.

It seems that the chance for a Cataclysm beta key or a free Celestial mount is too much for some people to resist.

I never open a blizzard or wow email or less I wrote them

And as for scam emails or sites I never vist them and I report every spamer in game lol

I never thought you did, but there are a lot of people who will open the emails and click the links because they don't know any better or just blinded by their lust for something free. These are same people who are responsible for the millions of Viagra emails being sent because they don't use any web security software or don't bother keep it updated. /end rant

Chances are you were key-logged and attempts were being made while you had the mobile authenticator installed, when you removed the authenticator they managed to get access to your account and then installed their own authenticator. When I was hacked I ran four different malware programs before I found my key-logger.

The hackers are quite sneaky and will quite often embed the key-logger in dummy hyperlinks at reputable sites like Elitist Jerks, thotbot, WoWhead, and the like. I quit going to thotbot because my av software was always popping a warning when I visited the site.

Why is it taking so long to get it fixed? Is it because you're on US servers? Are they generally slower for hacking repairs?

Everyone I no that's been hacks on my server it takes at least a few days to 10 days

I have been reading this thread with interest. While I have yet to get an account hacked *knock on wood* I did read some stuff several months ago that Blizzard was changing their policy for issues like this. As I remember you had two options:

1) Submit a ticket to the automated system. You get a set amount of gold and items returned to you based upon your toon level. You do not get everything back. This was said to take under 24 hours.

2) Go through the manual system and wait up to 14 days. In the end you may or may not get everything back depending upon Blizzard's research.

The logic was that so many accounts were being hacked that Bliz needed to do something to speed up account recovery. Since you never mentioned the automated option I guess it was not presented to you? I wonder if no one used it so they removed it?

I was thankful when i got hacked. My guildies caught it and realized it wasnt me online. ( i have a few RL personal friends) so they called me and i called blizz that morning right off the bat. The next day i got an email from the retrieval techies saying i have been granted "Account Restoration" them gave me a new password blah blah blah and when i logged on EVERYTHING was given back via mail. But when i logged on my huntard i was in IC and not mounted quite a ways up in the sky and started falling, and continued falling for a good 5 min So bottom line is thank goodness for Retrieval Techs

I sent an email in then go nothing ack and since I work so much I called the next nite.

The guy said he'd do his best to get me my gold and gear back at least!
And he'd mention that I had tons of gems herbs and skins.
And since my loks account got banned/frozen they shoul be able to get all the things back on that account!

But he said since they tryd to xfer a toon they'll take a lil longer tryn to see who's credit card and that that was used!!!

Well I just gota email from blizz sayn my other account was hackd (no duh) so they sent me a password change again and no both accounts r unlocked so now I got check once I get home and put a in game ticket in to tell em what's gone from that account

just can't see what my lok is missing b/c I just got him back on my account/server so I mite have to put 1 more ticket in lol

but I didn't get an email sayn they gave my dk on kalecgos his money back so If I dnt I'll delete him and give someone the gold on the wifes dk away :P

so if anyone has a horde on kalecgos pst me on here asap
