New visual effects

I noticed when I logged onto my mage after the patch that when certain things proc there are new visual effects around your character. I'm finding these really annoying as they are blocking the view when fighting mobs.

Has anybody found which option disables these?

BTW - my mage (level 51) seems totally overpowered now! Frostbolt cast time and cool down are much shorter and things are dying before they've even got half way to me

The option exists to disable them. Go into your interface, then into your combat options I believe. You can turn them off or turn them down there

And yes, Blizzard has stated that mages are considered overpowered at the moment and will be toned down.

I love EVERYTHING Blizz has done with this new patch, I was nervous that I wasn't going to, but I love, love, love it!!!
