Storm Peaks: "The Brothers Bronzebeard" Quest

As an Arms warrior, how does one manage to kill the adds in this quest? I can't seem to generate enough Rage to let me attack them.

Edit: Sorry, it should be "Brothers".

Use battle shout whenever it's ready and don't use abilities that use up too much rage (heroic strike for example).

Taking away Heroic Strike and its ilk leaves little in the way of damage that can be done. Rend costs 10 Rage and is a DoT attack. Everything else is 20 Rage, with little in the way of Rage regeneration. Running on 20 Rage once every minute does not cut the mustard. Or the enemy. Perhaps things have changed with this quest. I found a video that shows a Druid fly to the plane in Flight Form, then go to Cat Form. I tried to jump onto the plane, but "fell through" it to the floor below. Has anyone else tried it recently with a Warrior?

I admit I'm a slow learner these days. I know there are a bunch of abilities that do some enhancement for a few seconds, followed by some minutes of CD, which I don't use because it seems so little reward compared to Heroic Strike and friends.

Sometimes those quests can be nasty. Some time ago someone else had a similar problem with a quest.
The only hints I can give is to only use Heroic Strike when you have more than 60 rage (which is the normal rotation) and use Mortal Strike whenever it's ready.
Remember to also use Heroic Throw. Using rend depends on how long the target will live. If you need more than 5 seconds to kill him you can use it.
Berserker Rage should also be helpful, especially with the glyph. You regenerate 100% more rage when taking damage and with the glyph you get 5 rage when using it. And it has only a 30 second cooldown.
Also something nice is Recklessness, increases critical hit chance for special attacks but you take 20% more damage. But that leads to more rage also when used in combination with Berserker Rage.

If you need help with rotations in general search for SpellFlash on curse.com. This addon highlights the action bar button with the ability to use next. You need the template for your class also.

Aye, but the rub is that I don't take damage in this quest. The baddie is busily hacking away at the plane, not me. Hence, my rage generation is lax at best.

And the design of the Warrior is that sufficient Rage is needed in order to make an attack, which generates more Rage. But you have to have that initial Rage. Besides, you said to NOT use Heroic Strike and its allies.

I have tried Heroic Throw, which is great in normal battle situations, but doesn't seem to help all that much in this case. Maybe being a Worgen has something to do with it. :? Probably not.

Thanks for mentioning SpellFlash. I will check it out.

Didn't remember that an arms warrior does not have that many abilities to do damage, that's why I told to leave out Heroic Strike. As fury warrior I don't use it often because without very good equipment I had rage problems throughout the leveling phase from 80-85.
And as the warrior gets better the longer a fight lasts I have even bigger rage problems in dungeons. When there are good DDs in the group you don't get the chance to hit an enemy for more than 10 seconds...

Hunters seem to have even bigger problems with the quest as a hunter is not very good at melee range...

On thing that comes in my mind is to build up rage before starting the quest. Just kill some easy mobs outside until the bar is full, then mount up, fly down and start the quest. That way you may have about 50 rage left when the first enemy comes.

I've asked the same question in the Blizzard Community Warrior forum. So far no one has replied. Maybe it is because my main toon is a DK, which is one is posted under. They do seem to be a snotty group. But I have read about other situations where warriors claim to have severe rage problems, so it is nothing new.

I admit I really don't understand the Fury build. Guess I ought to set that up as my second build and play around. After all, it's only 1000 gold! Plus glyphs.

I've moved out of Storm Peaks for the present time, and presently in Mt. Hydaj, where the guide wanted to send me. I'll be back, hopefully with more experience and better equipment.

Dual spec does not cost 1000 gold anymore. They changed it after I bought it for nearly all my chars...
Don't know how much it's exactly but it's not more than 100 gold.
But even a fury warrior can have those rage problems. It's important to use a macro to switch stance and charge the enemy and switch back to berserker stance.

If you are already level 80 you did the right thing to continue with Hyjal. If you want to see the rest of Storm Peaks and Icecrown you can come back after getting geared up in Hyjal and rush through the rest of WotLK.

Dual talent specialisation is only 10g now, so no excuse not to have two specs - especially as the talent guide now supports it
