Problem with the updater settings

i got a small problem, because i checked that launch WoW after updated tab, and now i can't do anything, cause when i start the updater up, it just closes and start WoW stright ahead=/
any of u know what i gotta do to get it back?

Hold the Shift key when you launch the Updater to keep it from auto-launching WoW. Then you can go into the Settings and uncheck the Automatic Mode box to stop the auto-launching of WoW in the future.

It doesn't seem to work for me, even when I hold Shift...When should I press it? When I hold it pressed and launch the Updater, it doesn't do anything until I release the key, and then skips the Updater window altogether and just opens the WoW Launcher...Please help

EDIT: Solved it, pressed Abort during automatic update. my bad
