on step 37 of the LW farming it sends you to northern STV for med leather. a better spot would be the charred vale around 32,67 groups of 3 decent respawn and low hp all drop med/heavy leather + hides. (its the welps)

edit: after 1 hour at the above location i had the 155 leather required and only had to buy 5(i think) of the hides

I believe you can do the same thing in Wetlands. There's some whelps there that have a very fast respawn rate.
