Been trying to install the client but nothing happens when I try. Updated Java, downloaded a new copy of the installer even added it to my antivirus software. But nothing helps. The installation wont start. Need help fixing this asap.

Try uninstalling Java completely from your computer. Make sure to check the Program Files and/or Program Files (x86) folders and if you see Java folders still in there after doing the uninstall delete those folders. Then install a fresh copy of Java from www.java.com and restart the computer.Become a Fan of Zygor Guides on Facebook:

Have you tried disabling your anti-virus to see if that is blocking it?Become a Fan of Zygor Guides on Facebook:

I was having the same issues and tried all of the above suggestions. The one that seemed to do the trick was to open my task manager and double checking that none on the list were from of my anti-virus. It turns out that Panda had a process running and after ending it the installation proceeded nominally.
Thanks Z.S.!

I am having this issue, as well. I have removed Java entirely, reinstalled it in a non-custom (usually install it to a different directory than default) to make sure that wasn't the issue. I've disabled and closed AVG via task manager and still Zygor absolutely refuses to launch. It doesn't so much as show up in the task manager.
I have attempted a myriad of settings to attempt to get the blasted thing to just. bloody. open. Is there just an area where we can download the addon without the infernal bastard installer?

The desktop client will not show up in the task manager with the Zygor name. Because it is a Java application it will show up in the Processes/Details section of the task manager as a java.exe or javaw.exe file running. Look for that and end that process to try running the client again.Become a Fan of Zygor Guides on Facebook:

Their recommended settings do not solve the issue.
