We have made the guides like this in order to help new people find their way around in the new zones. We don't take them out of the way, we just give them the easiest route to get to where they need to go. So far you are the only person to complain about how we route people so at this point this isn't a bug in the guide but rather a difference in opinion of how it should be done. If we do get more people complaining about how we route people then we will look it over again and make changes as necessary.

If it was coded properly then when the travel system was turned off, then the extra steps would be removed, as for no taking them out of there way, you do know you are talking to someone that uses the guide and that has a brain. right? I can't count the numbers on time the guide will have you walk by a flight path to hand in or pick up a quest to walk back to get the flight path to get it then to walk back past the quest giver to get another quest from a different npc, the hearth stone that it tells you to set all the time and never use "yes setting it does not take time to do" yet no setting to skip this stupid stuff. as for new ppl finding their way around, they have done just fine for 10 years without it. The SiS system the is now broke because of all the stupid "Click Here to Proceed", I could go on for a long time picking at the stuff that no longer works right.
The excuse you gave is LAME to say the very least. Sinus Pi is very talented author as he has demonstrated with all the new stuff he has put in to the addon, are you really trying to tell me he does not have the time to make even the paying members happy, it should not matter if I am the only one that has said something or not.
You are telling me my money is good enough for you but in the end I am NOT and you DON'T CARE.

Try disabling all other addons to see if that brings back the arrow. When the Travel System is turned off in the guide viewer options it will only point to the coordinates that are in the step and will not try to route you to your destination.Become a Fan of Zygor Guides on Facebook:

Okay. I disabled all addons (except zygors) and it worked. Enabled the other addons one by one, to troubleshoot and find the culprit....arrow did not go away. I logged off that toon and tried another, and the arrow was still there. I exited the game, and logged back in, and the arrow remained until I accepted next quest.
I wouldn't mind the extra waypoint steps (from having travel routes enabled), but it tries to backtrack too much. For example, I can enter a cave to do a quest and the waypoint will attempt to tell me to exit cave and start waypoint over to enter cave again (all without completing quest in cave).

That problem with the cave is a bug we have on our list. The arrow disappearing appears (for all recent cases) to be an addon conflict of some kind happening. If it keeps disappearing then try doing the one by one testing but with stepping thru the guide a bit to see if it disappears again.Become a Fan of Zygor Guides on Facebook:

You could try doing a full guide wipe/reset to see if that makes any difference.
1. Exit WoW
2. Go to the WoW/Interface/Addons folder and delete the ZygorGuidesViewer folder
3. Go to the WoW/WTF/Account/<accountname>/SavedVariables folder and delete the Zygor files in there
4. Run the installer client and install a fresh copy of the guides
5. Go back in game and see if that fixed itBecome a Fan of Zygor Guides on Facebook:

I have followed your steps completely. After removing zygors completely from addons and WTF/Account/<accountname>/SavedVariables folders, the arrow is there until I deselect travel routes. Only after I click a step in the guide, do I see the arrow return (but it disappears after each step is completed.....have to re-click steps for it to return each time). Now if I leave travel routes selected, the arrow will not go away.

Ok, just did some playing around with this and can see that you are correct. Will get this into the bug system to get fixed. Only thing I can suggest for now is to leave the Travel System turned on and leave it set to Lazy so it would maybe have less things like portals and such suggested.Become a Fan of Zygor Guides on Facebook:
