Mac error after downloading updater

I just downloaded the Zygor updater on my Mac OS X version 10.5.8, but whenever I try to open the updater, a window pops up saying "Error. The file "Packager.php" could not be opened using text encoding Unicode (UTF-8)"
Any ideas out there how to fix this? I tried searching forums but I'm terrible at doing proper forums searches

This is normally caused by using special (read non-US) characters in your name or password. Try changing the name and/or password to only use letters and numbers that are standard on a US keyboard. These can be changed in your Members Area if needed and then just change them in the Updater settings.

There is no non-US letters in either, so it's not that But thanks for the tip

Or do you mean in my 'name' as in my real life name? I'll try changing that and try again actually

Glad to hear you got it fixed. I had actually been thinking of your log in name, didn't think that your real name would also affect it.
