Skills reminders + Cooking guide

Hello,

Am having issues with skills reminders in classic.
It's constantly telling me I have new skills to learn, but then I never have anything to learn when I get to the trainer.
I mark them as learned but then when I level up, it does the same thing again.

Additionally, early on in the cooking guide it told me to go to a waypoint in Elwyn Forest to use the campfire in a house, but the house didn't exist.

There is definitely no building to run into and buy spices from here....

Here is what I was talking about with regards to the skills.
I push "go to trainer" and run to a trainer only to find nothing to be learned....
Am I doing something wrong?

Another thing I notice is that when I finish a guide, I often end up with a bunch of completed quests that the guide has never told me to hand in.
For example I just finished Duskwood 25-27 and I still had these quests to hand in.

Also, I accepted a random quest to test, then used the "Smart Injection System" to "Abandon any leveling quests not needed for the current guide" and it does not remove the level 10 quest that I picked up as a test.

I see the problem with the cooking guide and we'll get that fixed. Those are the right coordinates but wrong zone. She's in SW.

In Classic and Wrath it is very common to finish off a guide and go to the next one while still having quests in your log to turn in or complete. We have you going back and forth to the different zones many times so you will turn those in once you go back. We normally have you hold on to some to turn in for after you get the next level or do a few more quests to try to reduce any mob grinding that might be needed as you level. And that level 10 quest might be a prerequisite for a chain that is part of your current guide which could explain why it wasn't dropped. Either that or a different addon was preventing quests from being dropped.

Also I should add, understood regarding leaving quests open between guides.
I in fact noticed it myself then it wanted me to hand in/do something for a quest I had abandoned >_<

Double check to make sure you don't have skills hidden at the trainer with the filter drop down on the trainer window. After that do the following to see if it helps at all.

First, if you use widgets go into the Profile section of the guide viewer settings in game and click on Backup. That should give you a string that you can copy/paste into a text file on your computer to save it. Then do the following steps to do a full guide reset:

1. exit WoW
2. go to the WoW/_classic_era_/Interface/Addons folder and delete any Zygor folders
3. go to the WoW/_classic_era_/WTF/Account/<your account name here>/SavedVariables folder and delete the Zygor files in there
4. run the desktop client and install a fresh copy of the guides
5. go back in game to test and see if that fixed it

If that fixed it then you can go back into the guide viewer settings and in the Profile section you can paste that backup string into the box at the bottom and click on Restore. That will restore your widget layout and data.

Thanks, I have tried that but it seems to have not fixed the problem.

You can see my addon "AllTheThings" is tracking that I know these spells.
I visited the trainer and turned off any filters and scrolled the list to see if Zygor would recognize that I already have them, but it didn't work.

I think you might have the wrong guides installed. You said you were on Classic Era, not Wrath but that picture is showing patch 3.0.4 from AllTheThings tip which would be a Wrath server. Which one are you on?

I am absolutely unequivocally playing Classic Era, I am on the Mankirk realm.
The tip from AllTheThings you are referring to is a warning that it' gets REMOVED in a specific patch, and has nothing tos do with what version I am currently playing.

Ok, wanted to make sure since I've never used AllTheThings and didn't know about that. I noticed in the video you do not have a pet summoned. Do you not play with a pet? If you summon a pet and open the pet training window do you have all of the skills that Zygor says you are missing?

I visited with my pet out, went through the empty skill list, same problem. I am still getting popups for skills I "haven't learned" -- see screenshot. Screenshot 2023-04-16 152654.png
