Zygor Guide not showing since wotlk update

    Zygor Guide not showing since wotlk update

    Guide updated to version 2.1.27299

    Stopped showing the guide ingame, tried /zygor show and nothing happened

    checked my addon menu ingame and its showing in there, turned off every other addon and still didnt show

    Deleted the addon and the zygor guides section of WTF/Account/AccountName/Saved Variables

    Reinstalled and nothing

    Repaired install and still not showing

    Deleted all other addons and reinstalled guide again as the only addon I have, still no guide!

    I have the same problem. The addon is enabled and "/zygor" is an unknown command. No errors either.

          it is an immature update - if you actually look at the errors you see that the folder names used in the code are not aligned with the structure of in the addon folder, e.g. it is looking for the file in the following path:

          Couldn't open ZygorGuidesViewerClassicTBC\Libs-TBC\Libs.xml

          but there is actually not Libs-TBC folder, it is only libs.

          Thx for testing stuff before releasing, should be a pretty easy catch or you messed up your code branches

              It's more complex internally, not as easy a catch as it would seem, but it is, of course, our fault, for which we cannot but apologize. Let me just say that the addon as shipped is assembled on the fly from common core code - based on user region, access level, currently installed files, and sometimes taking US/World patch day differences into account. Our tests failed to detect a peculiar situation in which the TBC/WOTLK pre-patch variant of the addon is shipped as WOTLK to the US, while as TBC to the EU and others. The bug has now been squashed, and we'll employ better test suites next time.

                    Still not working. I have the Zygor box on the screen but it loads nothing. Double checked directories, versions, etc.

                        I am still showing the zygor guide in game but nothing loads when you look for a guide to follow. Comes up with critical error. I totally uninstalled zygor and reinstalled, same thing. It works on retail but i don't want to play retail, i want to play the classic, and it will not work. When i look at the addon's in the WOW menu it says TBC guide not the LK, even though i put the folder for the LK in the zygor client.

                            I think my problem is related to the above - wonder if I give some more detailed info that might be helpful. I'm (mostly) on an oceanic server for Classic..

                            When I open Zygor client on my desktop it seems 'frozen', I can see the headings for Wow Retail, Wow Classic and Wow Classic TBC/WotLK, but I can't do anything. All versions say Installed n/a and Latest n/a and I can't check updates, download updates, sync, repair or uninstall - that's all greyed out. The only button that appears live (orange) is the TBC/WotLK showing 'cancel' but it doesn't do anything.

                            In my Wow folders classic>interface>addons I do have both a Zygor Classic folder and a Zygor Classic TBC folder - are you saying we should delete one? I actually still have some toons under plain 'Classic' setting - did not shift them to TBC - though I could, they're just lying around atm.

                            When I go into the Zygor Classic TBC folder, I can see that I have a bunch of duplicating folders that have e.g. Code - TBC and then another for Code-WOTLK. This applies for Code, Data, Guides and Libs although Data, Guides and Libs also have their own folder without either a TBC or a WotLK designation so there are 3 different folders for each of the categories Data, Guides and Libs. I'm unclear whether we should be deleting the *-TBC folders.

                            When I entered the game I on a couple of toons that had 'dailies' open in the game, I got a bunch of Libs errors (and not being a coding genius I'm not sure what that means except 'bad'. Going in on one toon right now, I get this first:

                            When I try and use client in game, I can see that I still have eg. Enchanting and Tailoring guides open, but I cannot add Dailies guide, or in fact any new guide in the list under dailies, although I can click back and forth on the 2 x professions guides open.

                            I am checking within forums for solution, but not finding clarity so far - help appreciated!

                              Try right clicking on the small Z icon in the task bar tray (far right side) near the date/time and select Exit. Then use the desktop shortcut to restart the client.

                              Once you have restarted the client and you're able to do stuff with it then you can try doing a guide reinstall.

                              1. exit WoW
                              2. go to the WoW/_classic_/Interface/Addons folder and delete any Zygor folders
                              3. run the desktop client and install a fresh copy of the guides
                              4. go back in game to test and see if that fixed it
