I've reported this a few times in game but it is still present.
The guide is not detecting when you hand in the Wild Proto Avians. I don't know if it is checking for 8 at once as I have yet to get 8 in one go, but it is not working when I hand in a few at a time. Due to this issue the guide keeps asking you to wrangle more Avians.

No they've cleared. I take it they clear once they have been uploaded ?
Or are they character specific ?

I just did the daily again on an alt and this time managed to get 8 avians and the guide picks that up. So it's been coded to check only for 8 at one time, and not with a few being handed in at a time.

EDIT: Oh, the desktop app. Just checked and no. They've gone. Only a report from June 1st is still there. I guess they clear after a set time ?

I can't see those reports on our side so I'll have to have someone who can check to see if we got them.
