Tooltip Error with Zygor Gold Guide & ElvUI [FIXED in 14712]

Heya folks, been a Zygor user for about 6 years now and so far I haven't had many issues with the programs. I recently got back into WoW, grabbed myself the Elite membership and started playing. Everything went fine until I installed ElvUI to get my UI in order, and a series of errors have been popping up with the gold guide's tooltip.

Is there any way to sort out this error to make them play along again?

There was a different bug that was most likely causing this. We just released the fix. Please update the guides again and see if you still get this error.

The latest version I am running is 6.0.14711, and the issue still persists, unfortunately :/

Try doing a full guide wipe/reset.


1. exit WoW
2. go to the WoW/Interface/Addons folder and delete the ZygorGuidesViewer folder
3. go to the WoW/WTF/Account/<accountname>/SavedVariables folder and delete the Zygor files in there
4. run the desktop client and install a fresh copy of the guides
5. go back in game and see if that fixed it

Done, and the error persists, though perhaps a little differently this time? I'll include it anyhow in case its relevant.

Update to 14712 and that should fix it.
