Using exp. instead of steps or quests completed for leveling guide?

Is there a way to use experience instead of steps or quests completed like the old guide? I like how the old guide would tell you when you've reached the level to proceed to a new zone. Thanks.

the zones scale with your level so no need to proceed to a new zone solely based upon your toon's level
